I recommend anyone interested in the incredible insight and innovations Gordon Moore has gifted us with during his long life have a look at the link above to the charity he and his wife created. He predicted that processing speed would double every 18 months back in 1965 (IIRC), and Moore's Law has been true during the decades since. It is difficult to quantify the impact his life and work have had on us all, but it is obvious that Hive would not exist without his contributions.
