Musical emergency

As I sat down to my computer this afternoon I had no idea what to write about, but then something came up to completely obscure my lack of inspiration. The musical emergency - my ‘music phone’ became unresponsive which, of course, made me fear the worst… It’s called a ‘music phone’ because that’s basically all it can do, a very crappy phone, a freebie from the phone company, if I remember correctly. It doesn’t even have a great sound, but it’s loud… not one of those fancy phones that keep warning you about dangerous levels, I’m not an idiot, thank you very much, I can tell if it’s too loud…
Anyway, my trusted friend wouldn’t light up, wouldn’t give out the faintest buzz no matter what you did. As it turned out, it reacted very bad when my daughter tried to do something nice for me (she does that often, I admit!) and uploaded
a new album on the SD card….

After a lot of fiddling, the bloody phone woke up, but all I could find on it was the new album, which is great and I was planning on listening while I did my shopping.
Still, all that pain, the feeling of loss as if a limb was missing - what about the rest of my music?!?
To make a long story short, I spent a good part of the afternoon trying to get back some of my music, I’m still trying to download an album right now and there are others I haven’t listened to in maybe months…. but I need them, even if it’s only to ignore them for another few months.
The phone is still a mess, there’s no logic to how it chooses to play the songs, so my shopping trip turned into a very confusing musical emergency… but at least it’s working!
