I try to do a "What's Up" once a month. This is just a post where I ramble on incoherent talking about what's happening in my life. So what's up with The Dood?

Well on a not so positive note The Dood is in a "Corana Virus" hot zone. I love using the word "Corona Virus" people are afraid to on other platforms. It's funny because I have a small instagram account for a side project I'm working on. A normal post there gets 20 or 30 likes. I did a post with a mention of Corona Virus in relation to the topic I was posting about and 3 likes. Found it odd to say the least and it wasn't a corona virus post or anything offensive. Just the word mentioned sort of like how I'm talking about it now. No disinformation, or perspective just "Corona Virus" in a sentence. That to me is so creepy and I have a hard time believing it's a coincidence! Anyway, I digress... I'm in a Corona Virus hot zone. Apparently they are color coded now or something and my county is orange or red. Whatever color it is, we're getting locked down again. I may blog about this further in the future because I'm getting tired of it, but for now I'll just say I've spent the last day or so stocking up on stuff and running around town making preparedness arrangements.

For the most part I prepared in advanced. Towards the start of flu season, I defrosted the freezer then stocked it with essentials. We still have TP from the last roound of idiocy. When they made the announcnent last night on the evening news I went out and just made sure to stock up on anything we were running low on. You know the important stuff like weed and alcohol. TP and paper products in the store already gone again. This is craziness.

So there's that! Nobody wants to read Debbie Downer post about negativity, besides that is what the MSM is for. Let's talk about fun stuff! Positive things happen to positive people!

Towards the end of last week I was acknowledge as a Crypto Twitter influencer which I thought was pretty wild. The term has been thrown around in the past, but I've never considered myself an influencer. The Dood's just a guy with a Twitter account tweeting and learning about cryptocurrency like the rest of us. Frankly, I'm still learning as I go. I posted about it in last weeks FollowFriday post.

Pretty wild, I've actually been getting a lot of attention lately. The stars must be lining up just right for me lately! @dbuzz included me in a Community Highlight Award Many thanks to those folks.

On that note I've been trying to focus more social media time on all things HIVE and spending less time on Twitter and non-blockchain platforms. I really didn't like the way Twitter handled the elections, and there have been other things I've seen that I didn't like either. With that said, I feel good about spending more time here with people that understand the concepts and importance of censorship resistant platforms and free speech. Ya'll my kind of people!

The last time I wrote one of these I'm pretty sure I mentioned putting my lower back out. I couldn't ride my motorcycle or even play my guitar for that matter. I'm happy to report that seems to have passed. I've been spending a lot of time relaxing with my guitar in hand again. I'm currently trying to get a bunch of Christmas music down for the holidays. I've been learning traditional playing and also a little classical. I've wanted to teach myself classical and fingerstyle blues for some time now and I thought starting out with some classical Christmas songs was a good idea. Seems to be working. Each day I seem to improve a bit.

Well that's pretty much it. Corona Virus world is pretty boring. For the Tweeted version, "Corona Virus sucks going into lockdown again, getting recognized as a crypto influencer online, loving dbuzz, lower back is better and playing guitar mostly xmas carols!"

It seems Corona is enjoying a second wave. Numbers are increasing here - nationally and in our little valley. No cases in the village, but I suspect it's a matter of time. Again. It's going to be interesting to see what the government does.

Another lockdown will kill this country

Same here. I think it will cause a lot of unrest too if they do. People are starting to get really grumpy about it.

These are very strange times. Ten years ago would any fantasy writers have predicted a world-wide pandemic and a man-baby in the White House who will not accept the election results? The stuff going on with him and Rudi is almost beyond satire :)

Anyway, I hope you can stay well and keep enjoying your guitar. I have been playing mine a lot, but really need to focus on improving in specific areas rather than just 'noodling'.

I've been doing a lot of noodling myself. When I'm not playing the xmas stuff I've been working on the blues stuff I learned over the last few months. But just noodling and riffing out the few scales I learned. A lot of my old playing has started coming back too. Really happy I started getting back into that.
