BIG UPDATE! New Reward Pool and Limited Edition Cards

Ever since we launched Rising Star back in March our main priority has been to make the game sustainable for the long run.

The first ten months have all been about creating a strong financial base for the game in the form of powering up this account, growing the curation trail and also purchasing miners such as WORKERBEEs to give us regular returns that we can use to grow the game in a steady way (as well as BEE that we need to issue the cards).

Brand New Reward Pool

Today we are pleased to announce the first stage of a brand new reward pool that allows players to get a share of these returns.

The initial daily reward will be a minimum of 20 SWAP.HIVE (but may be more) and will increase steadily over time.
The actual rewards will start to be distributed in January although we may do a few test runs beforehand.

As you can see above there are various ways to increase your rank and therefore your daily rewards with a heavy bias on the true collectors in the game who have the most unique cards.

IM Comes In To Play

You will be glad to see that the IM (Income Modifier) that has been present on the cards since the beginning is now useable in the new ranking formula.

You can see your current rank by clicking on the trophy icon in the menu

New Limited Edition Gold Cards

For the true Rising Star collectors we have introduced four new limited edition gold cards.

S9 Beethoven

This card is now available when you purchase a 12 pack of cards with HIVE. We have increased the number of packs from 10 to 12 to match the STARBITS equivalent.

S10 Tchaikovsky

Can only be purchased from the market. The first card will be priced at 10 SWAP.HIVE and each subsequent card will increase by 0.5 SWAP.HIVE. Ten cards will be placed on the market each day at random times to give everyone a chance although we won't be waking up in the middle of the night to release any! :P

S11 Bach

Can only be purchased from the market. The first card will be priced at 20,000 STARBITS and each subsequent card will increase by 1000 STARBITS. Ten cards will be placed on the market each day.

S12 Brahms

This card is now available when you purchase a 24 pack of cards with HIVE.

What's Next?

We are working on another big update for early next year which we are excited about and we look forward to releasing more information about this in the future.

Does it means by buying 12 packs, using Hive, I will get both Mozart and Beethoven both?

You only get Mozart if using Starbits.

Ooh, interesting developments. I have card-lust for the composers! Is someone likely to buy them all up in hope of selling at a profit? I'll be looking out for them. I see they already appear on the cards page. I also see the pool page. It looks like these is an incentive to fill the gaps in your collection.

Is this extra incentive to have storage cards rather than putting stuff on the market for ego reasons?

The storage cards have the same effect but just save a lot of time as you don't need to use the blockchain.

I like how each limited edition card has different requirements for obtaining it! I will have to look for those other cards and also any others I don't have to fill in the empty spaces! Rock on

Does that mean that my rewards are going to be reduced because I don't have many cards? At the moment my earnings are not reliant on my account being compared to anyone else's account - so when this new reward pool goes into effect can small accounts expect a drop in earnings and big accounts to expect a boost in earnings?

This is an additional reward pool and does not effect your STARBITS earnings when playing the game.

"unique cards" - the total number of individual card types that you have. So if you had 3 "R1 Classic Punk" cards and 2 "E9 Debbie" cards then you would have 2 unique cards.

Hope that clears it up.

thanks @risingstargame does that also apply if you only had 1 card that was unique ie just one E9 Debbie to still qualify as unique or do you require at least 2 of the same to benefit?

Just one will count. It's the total unique cards you have of any number.

Oh man I really want Beethoven and Bach. I can play piano pieces from both so like I want to own their cards for sure. Gonna have to get a couple packs.
