Street Photography: beauties of Krakow at night
Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
With the sun setting as early as before 4 P.M. here in Krakow, Poland these days and the notorious bad autumn weather, there are not many opportunities for some nice photo shooting in broad daylight nowadays. Fortunately, however, a lot of this beautiful city´s architectural gems and renowned landmarks are well lit, allowing eager photography enthusiasts (like me :D) to take some cool pictures here even after the sunset.
In fact, good illumination of the photographed objects is absolutely necessary for my cell phone camera to be able to take decent (or maybe semi-decent :D) shots in the dark, as I have already mentioned in my last night photography post.
I have been roaming around the city streets after the sunset quite a lot lately and I have taken a bunch of pictures that - after some basic photo editing - I am going to share with you in this post. From stunning architectural pieces dating back to long centuries ago to modern structures like shopping centers, bridges, transmitter towers and amusement rides, here are 40 photos showing the special atmosphere and beauty of Krakow at night.
I hope you enjoyed this collection of night Krakow photos. I know it was quite long but I didn´t really want to split it in two parts because I already have some other ideas of what to post here on my blog next week so hopefully, you didn´t get too overwhelmed by all those pictures :)
I am actually also thinking about doing a special photo post that would be devoted to the famous Krakow cemeteries. I know it would have been cool to come up with it on Halloween but I might still do it anyway as I think it is a very interesting theme for a photo collection. What do you think about this idea? Let me know in the comment section below ;)

Ta je tvoje? Kde to je? Teď už tu asi ten nápis není, nic mi to neříká. Ale vypadá to jako Maly Rynek :)
Plac Szczepański. Když jsem to fotil, tak za zády jsem měl nějakou secesní budovu (nějaký spolek umění) a před ní byla fontána. A je to kousíček od hlavního rynku. Kdybys šel od baziliky po kraji náměstí a měl tržnici vlevo, tak vyjdeš z náměstí a je to jeden nebo dva bloky.
Byli jsem tam loni před vánoci, takže asi adventní výzdoba.
Nejspíš to tam už (nebo ještě) opravdu není. Po centru se potulujeme téměř denně a žádný takový nápis jsme tu neviděli. Mimochodem trhy byly letos zrušeny, takže to bude takový zvláštní advent. Turisté aktuálně prakticky vyhynulý druh...
Letošní rok je celý takový, jak bych to... Prostě Orwellovský...
Musíte se na to dívat z té druhé stránky, že si můžete vychutnávat genia loci na hodně místech sami, bez turistického ruchu... ;)
Jo tak tenhle benefit já oceňuju, davy opravdu nemusím :)
A jak tak na ty fotky koukám... Některá místa prostě poznávám... ;)

If I'll make it to Poland it will be to see the center of this city. That and Warsaw. I like the reflections of the city lights on the river.
Thanks for stopping by man. So far I have only driven through Warsaw without stopping to explore it more so I cannot really compare but I think when it comes to architecture and the vibes of the cities, Krakow has the upper hand.

Denních snímků vidí člověk spousty. Noční tak časté nejsou a určitě stojí za několik minut prohlížení :-)
Ono teď ani moc těch příležitostí na focení za denního světla není :D Ale zrovna Krakow je za tmy opravdu pěkný a tajemný, podobně jako třeba Praha ;)
:-). Každá temná, lehce podsvícená ulička má své tajuplné kouzlo.
Pěkná sbírka hezkých nočních fotek zajímavého města. Na hřbitovech se dají udělat tajemné i melancholické fotografie. Hřbitovy jsou místa smíření a klidu...
Jsem rád, že se ti sbírka líbila ;) A značím si tedy dalšího zájemce o "hřbitovní post" :D

You did a great job capturing all these photos and gave us a nice virtual walk through Krakow.

Yeah i know it's not easy taking night time photos with cell phones you almost got to stop breathing before you click that trigger i have just got myself the new Samsung S20 i am yet to try this one for night shots they say it's suppose to be a good night time cell phone we will see 😊

You are right once i get my head around on how to use all these functions you need a university degree to operate some of these new tech phones 👍
