The First Snow
Last night at around 11pm, it started snowing. When I looked out of the window, everything was covered in snow and there was more light on the streets because of the snow. It's a unique experience to see that light nowadays, as snow is becoming more and more rare, unfortunately.
I was watching and enjoying the snow and was also hoping to still get some in the morning when I wake up. Going out at 11pm was not exactly an appealing thought, so I decided to wait till morning.
When I woke up, I heard drops on the windowsill, so I suspected thing may not be good outside and I was right as the snow was already melting.
The weather report said sleet, which may or may not have happened during the night, but when I left the house, this is what I got. Wet snow.
It looks like ice, but it isn't, it's just wet snow, that melted during the day.
I was able to capture this water drop, thanks to my new phone.
This is how snow looked on top of some bushes, but on the ground, most was already melted.
This guy must have seen better days, last night for example, but this morning he was already done. Poor thing.
Despite all the frost and low temperatures, there are still a few green leaves, holding up, but not for long I'm afraid.
Two and a half weeks are gone of December and there's still no snow. We got the first attempt but it is too warm for the snow to stay. Today's attempt was the first one and it resulted in a lot of mud on the streets.
I've checked the weather report, which says light snow, till the 25th, but I suppose that light snow ill be something similar we got last night. There will be 10C on the 26th, which is way too high for this period of time.
Kids will be disappointed again and I honestly feel sorry for them. We had so many white Christmases when we grew up, there was no Christmas without snow basically. We spent all the winter holidays outside sledging and having fun in the snow all day. Sometimes it was so cold our feet were frozen, so as our gloves. Those were the fun times.
Nowadays kids stay inside and play video games all day.

Hello,
I can't wait for it to snow in the Arad area, although we haven't had much snow in recent years, but when I miss the snow I run to the mountains.
Hello. Well, good luck as the Arad area is warmer but still, winter should be cold and with snow. Fingers crossed and thanks for stopping by.
