Vasilyevsky Island-1 (walk of 14 photos)

Vasilyevsky Island is located in the Neva Delta, which flows through St. Petersburg. It is the largest of the delta's islands. Interestingly, 15 streets of this island are called "Line". Moreover, each street has two lines at once - odd and even with their own numbers. In total, there are 30 Lines on the island.

Today I suggest you walk along ... 6 and 7 Lines at the same time. Several years ago this street was made a pedestrian street between Bolshoy and Sredny avenues. When we visit Vasilyevsky Island, we will definitely get there, this is our tradition.
Andrew's Cathedral

We will depart from Bolshoi Avenue along Line 6 towards Sredniy Avenue. It will be just the right side of the street. St. Andrew's Cathedral from such a distance cannot be completely photographed, I will show it to you at the end of the walk.

Here we have reached Sredny Avenue, ahead of the intersection, on the left is the metro station and we are returning back. It's spring and it's still cold. In the summer it is much more fun, there are tables right on the street, music and all that.

Halfway through we stopped for a bite to eat. Just a couple of shots.

And then we moved to the 7th Line. From here, St. Andrew's Cathedral is visible in its entirety and we are approaching it. It is good that the larch branches are still without green needles.

All the same, I had to take three vertical shots in order to later collect a panorama and show the cathedral in all its glory.

Here we have already reached Bolshoi Avenue and turned right towards the bay. The walk was long, but that's another story.
