Stick Up Boys vs korg volca keys and moog moogerfooger

We like to use a lot of analogue gear in our studio and we were thinking of doing a series of vs videos of some of our equipment! We never got round to doing more but we might do one day! We might make a series of these if people like them!

Here is the one we actually put out some years ago with 2 great pieces of kit.

Fiddly little knobs on that thing, but sounds good. I love seeing what gear people have. More of this please.

definitely beefs up that volca filter!

i have a volca bass, it sounds nice, even though i rarely use it. i recently bought a wire that can power it (and up to 5 volcas) from USB so that's cool. i also have the fm and sample

oh nice, yes it is easier with power supply, but battery use is also cool for taking it to places! I do not have the sample I thought it was a pain loading samples in it? I love mini toys also have all the monotrons as well, do you have some of them?

yeah the sample is really dumb with the lack of memory and how it loads samples

they made a mk ii but it has like 4mb memory instead of 2 or something. give us an sd card or something! they dont wanna make the toys too powerful, otherwise you might not buy their other gear.

what is cool is that someone made an alternate firmware for the sample so you can play chromatically and some other neato stuff.

also i got this little rack for $17 on ebay that i couldn't pass up (they normally start way higher). that's about all i got on the volca, other than the drum and modular look pretty cool. "collect them all"...im sure korg wouldn't mind. oh yeah the volca mixer is the dumbest of them all. oh and myvolts is the company that makes those plugs-based oit of ireland, i believe.

i have an og monotron but it just sits in a drawer, maybe aome day ill mod it into a separate enclosure or something. ive seen people mod them to eurorack even
