A few days ago I brought in these parts a series of songs by various groups or solo artists that despite having had a musical career like that of any other, it seemed that they were only able to "hit" a single song and with it consecrate themselves for the rest of his career.

And if you know how to do your business well with the income from ONE song, you can live the rest of your life in a fairly well-off and comfortable way. Usually all these songs, obviously, were extremely well known and marked a milestone in the time or decade in which they came to light. We then go with the second part of this group of songs that were popularly known "One Hits Wonders".

The Baha Men, this group originally from the Bahamas released a song back in the 2000s that would become a legendary song twenty years later. We are still in the 90s and it is the turn of these Italians who with only 4 albums managed in the same way to hit a song that today continues to sound in many places. It's true that they had a couple of songs that probably sold a bit more than this one but the truth is simple, it was "Blue" that surprisingly did the BOOM. A peculiarity of this theme is the use of Autotune which was very common in the 90s; and as a fact no less was nominated for the Grammy, not everyone can say that. In short, a classic of that time that is still a reference today.

- Aqua - Barbie Girl.

Barbie Girl, who at the time did not hear this song? The popularity of this song was abysmal, I remember when his first album came out in 1997 and with it this song and the truth is that it came out everywhere, on music channels (MTV), I even heard it on the radio . These Danes were already quite famous for the area where Denmark is located and it was with this theme that they reached the top. Aqua has 2 known songs, one is this and the other is "Doctor Jones" being the first one of the most listened to titles in history. As a curious fact, Mattel sued them for the use of the word "Barbie", nothing to write home about. A classic that everyone knows.

- Haddaway - What is love.

We got to the first soloist, Haddaway who was born in Trinidad and Tobago came with one of these "European Dance" style songs, something that was extremely popular and copied in the 1990s, to blast the radio and discos of that time. Haddaway released 6 albums and the truth is that the only song that was successful was with this one to the point that I do not know anyone else who knows about another song from him, so much so that there were more than 10 remixes of this song trying all to hold onto the wave it produced. It got to be in first places in many countries of Europe and in the first positions of the Billboard charts.

- Los Del Rio - Macarena.

What to say about Macarena, a song like few others that has managed to make EVERYONE dance, but literally EVERYONE. This duo of Spaniards that is characterized by interpreting flamenco and Sevillian music achieved the impossible and it is that in 1993 they released the "Macarena" which was a cultural REVOLUTION I would say. EYE, they already had a great success that was "Seville has a special color" in '91 but it was this that definitely opened all the doors for them. A song that had 14 weeks in a row at the top of the Billboard chart, which was used for multiple shows such as the Olympics, a Super Bowl, etc. Today, almost 30 years later, I do not believe that there is a person on the planet who has not listened to / danced the Macarena, a brutality of song and success.

- Los Lobos - La Bamba.

You may or may not speak Spanish but I assure you that this song is sung every time you hear it. This group was born in Los Angeles and they are all brothers. The strange thing about this song is that the original author does not know who he is since this song is something very traditional in Mexico. The version that we know and the one that gave it worldwide recognition was that of Ritchie Valens there in the year 58 and which in turn was sung by this group of which I speak in 1987, being the FIRST song in Spanish to be number 1 in Bollboard's Hot List. As expected this song has MANY versions ranging from Metallica, Paul McCartney, Neil Diamond, etc, etc. An all-time hit without a doubt.

Certainly there are many more songs that could enter this group but I only took the ones that I really consider to be a little better known to everyone and that despite the fact that the years go by we will continue to dance and listen to them without getting tired because it is impossible to get tired of them, for something they have lasted so long in time. Music is life and as long as it is capable of activating any part of the human body it has to be well received.
