Beer Tasting: Jaipur & Hitachino Nest

Hello, dear beer tasters! 🍺 🍻 😎 🍻 🍺

It's #beersaturday and I have two beers in front of me, small but brand new to me.
Last week I got excited with Bernie and his memes. I couldn't help but put it next to the beer :)

If you don't know what this is about, here you can see Bernie in all sorts of funny situations. Of course, all this is just a joke.

Thornbridge Jaipur IPA

Brewed by Thornbridge Brewery, Bakewell, Derbyshire, England. Can, 035 l, alcohol 5.9% ABV. They say this beer has been awarded more than 100 world prizes. And more:

This American style IPA has a complexity of flavors created by a six-dimensional hop experience. Jaipur's hoppiness builds in the mouth and bursts with powerful citrus fruit flavors, culminating in a remarkably smooth finish and making it a deliciously drinkable IPA.

What a hymn. I'll have to describe this really carefully so that I don't turn out to be a fool. 😎

The beer is a light yellow with a medium foam. In the first sip, I first feel the sweetness of the malt, which continues into the strong bitterness of the hops and the very fruity, citrus aroma. The bitterness of the hops prevail and remains long after the first sip.
Very drinkable and refreshing. It’s clear to me why this beer has won so many awards. I'd like it in my fridge too ...

Hitachino Nest White Ale

Brewed by Kiuchi Brewery, Konosu, Japan. Bottle, 033 l, alcohol 5.5% ABV. It's a Belgian White Ale style which means that it's a wheat-based ale, low bitterness with dominant spice aromas.

The beer is yellow-orange, the foam is poor and quickly disappears. Already in the first sip, you can feel the wheat, solid, but not so pronounced, the more the taste of coriander is dominant and citrus especially oranges.
The bitterness of the hops is in the background and not very pronounced. With so many complex flavors, I didn’t expect it to be so drinkable but it’s actually very light.
Suitable for occasional drinking. Otherwise, this is the first Japanese beer I’ve tasted.
