Throwback Thursday Birthday Initiative (ESP/ENG)

Today I want to join this wonderful initiative from my friend @soyunasantacruz, who's encouraging us to share our old birthday photos. I think she and I are more or less from the same generation because I also have photos like that, taken with film cameras. I should mention beforehand that I'm not sure if I've shared these photos before (it's hard to know because I've been posting on Hive daily for the last five years, so imagine having to search manually, haha, and Hive doesn't have a search function), but I think I haven't posted them because they were in an old album I had in my closet. Anyway, here's the original post, and I encourage you all to participate in the initiative.
Hoy quiero unirme a esta preciosa iniciativa de la amiga @soyunasantacruz en la cual nos exhorta a compartir esas fotografías antiguas de nuestros cumpleaños, creo que ella y yo pertenecemos más o menos a la misma generación porque yo también tengo de esas fotografías tomadas con cámaras analógicas de carretes. De antemano les digo que no estoy segura de si he compartido antes o no estas fotos (es difícil saberlo porque yo publico en Hive diariamente desde hae cinco años, así que imagínense tener que buscar manualmente jeje, y Hive no tiene un buscador), pero creo que no las he publicado porque estaban en un viejo álbum que tenía en mi armario. De cualquier forma por aquí lesdejo la publicación original y los exhorto a formar parte de la iniciativa.
I remember some fragments of that day; it was my third birthday. One of the things I remember most is the usual photo session with one of my aunts. She was always carrying her camera around because she was studying photography, and she would take photos of me every month from the time I was born to keep a record of my progress and growth. Later, it became an annual thing. I remember that day wanting to go play with my toys, but she kept me distracted by giving me things to play with while she took pictures with the camera's flash. In fact, you can see me there with one of those rolls of film that were used in analog cameras 😆 I'm holding it in my left hand while I smile at the camera.
Yo recuerdo algunos fragmentos de ese día, era mi tercer cumpleaños, y una de las cosas que más recuerdo es la acostumbrada sesión de fotos de una de mis tías, ella siempre andaba con su cámara de un lado al otro porque estudiaba fotografía, y siempreme hacía una sesion de fotos cada mes desde mi nacimiento para tenerun registro de mi progreso y crecimiento, y luego fue anual. De ese día yo recuerdo que yo quería ir a jugar con mis juguetes pero ella me mantenía distraída dando algunos objetos para jugar mientras ella disparaba el flash de la cámara sobre, de hecho allí ustedes pueden verme con uno de esos carretes que se usaban en las camaras analógicas 😆 lo tengo en mi mano izquierda mientras sonrio a la cámara.
Then it was my party's turn, of which I have some scattered memories, for example I remember when they asked me to pose with my birthday cake, which was very beautiful, a lovely creation by my aunt, the oldest, she was the expert in baking, and she wanted to replicate a beautiful garden with my cake (it turned out beautifully, my mom told me that the grass was recreated with shredded coconut)
Luego fue el turno de mi fiesta, de la cuál conservo algunos recuerdos dispersos, por ejemplo recuerdo cuando me pidieron posar con mi pastel de cumpleaños, el cuál era muy bonito, una creación preciosa de mi tía,la mayor, ella era la experta en repostería, y quiso replicar un lindo jardín con mi pastel (le quedó bellísimo, mi mamá me dijo que la grama fue recreada con coco rayado)
Only my cousins and uncles attended that party—and there are a lot of them! But at that time I lived in a small town, and most of my mother's family lived in the city (where we moved when I turned eight). So, the ones who were there were my cousins on my mother's side. I don't remember the scene where I was cutting the cake, but you can tell I really enjoyed being given that responsibility 😄
Aesa fiesta asistieron solamente mis primos y tíos que son muchos, pero es que en esa época yo vivía en un pueblo y la mayoría de mi familia materna estaba en la ciudad, (a dónde nos mudamos cuando yo cumplí 8 años) entonces los que estaban allí eran mis primitos por parte de madre. No recuerdo esa escena donde estoy cortando el pastel, pero se nota que me gustómucho que me dieran esa responsabilidad 😄
Honestly friends, I really enjoyed this initiative, it filled me with beautiful memories and nostalgia, I hope many more initiatives come to this wonderful community.
De verdad amigos, disfruté muchísimo con esta iniciativa, me llenó de lindos recuerdos y nostalgia, espero que lleguen muchas más iniciativas a esta preciosa comunidad.

Actually, I think we’re from the same generation, and that coconut-shavings design confirms it 🤣 My 4th birthday cake was decorated the same way—pastry techniques also become trends, and sometimes we can even tell what era they’re from.
You have the same little face—you haven’t changed a bit. You look as cute as a doll.
How wonderful that you had an aunt who was a photographer—that’s such a treat because she documented your growth, and that’s something not everyone had.
That birthday party looks beautiful and well-organized, and the birthday girl was happy—no tears at all 😁.
Muchas gente me dice eso, jaja que no he cambiado mucho, y mira que han pasado 38 años desde esas fotos jaja.
Sí vale esas decoraciones con coco rayado eran lo máximo en esa época y además le daba un toque riquísimo a la torta 😊.
One thing I loved about this post is the way you recount all the events as if they happened just yesterday; I also love how many details you remember from that birthday party, considering how young you were at the time. Photographs really do allow us to relive and reconstruct dreamlike moments from the past. Plus, in these kinds of "Throwback" posts, the stories and versions shared by our parents, who pass down our own history to us, play such a big role. Good for you, my friend; congratulations on this beautiful post...

Gracias amigo, sí, la verdad es que yo conservo recuerdos desde mi fiesta de dos años, la gente no suele creerme pero es verdad, claro que no son recuerdos vívidos pero sí conservo muchas escenas en mi memoria, y claro está, como bien dices, está el factor de lo que nos aportan nuestros padres, esas anécdotas que ayudan a fortalecer esos recuerdos o aportan datos curiosos que quizá no sabíamos.
