Three new cacti in my collection and again they didn't tell me the names.
Today I woke up in the morning and asked myself: Hey Monster, what's the plan for today? So I quickly answered myself: I have $40 dollars in my wallet that we can spend, first we have to go to the car wash and then to the nursery to see if I can find new cactus that I like (and that I can pay with the money that is still in my wallet haha).
The app I use to identify cacti tells me that it is a mammillaria elongata but to be honest I am not convinced since in my cactus the spines are longer and very sharp, also it still has a flower that is closing but I can see that it is fuchsia color, so the truth I am not convinced, it is a pity that in the nursery they almost never know the names, only of the most expensive cacti, those that are worth more than 100 dollars.
The app tells me that this cactus is called mammillaria thornberi orcut, and apparently it is, the bad thing was that I was told that this cactus already gave its flowers, however I will settle for collecting the seeds and see if I can sow them.
Again I think the app gives me an incorrect name as it tells me that this cactus is called mammillaria gracilis, the problem is that this cactus is much smaller as it does not grow upwards but to the sides, and I actually have another cactus that I haven't shown you and I think that would be the mammillaria gracilis, but not this one.
Anyway, I decided to take some pictures of the offspring that I hope will keep growing and multiplying.
By the way, this cactus is huge and they sell it at a reasonable price of $25, do you think it is worth it? I took a few pictures at the nursery so you can see what my eyes see and the amount of money I wish I had, because seriously, there are cacti and succulents that exceed 100 dollars, today I had to settle for the ones I brought, and I really liked them a lot and I only spent almost 23 dollars, it was a good investment!
Finally a question, I still have that unused clay pot, do you think I should put the three cacti in and let them grow until they fill the whole space or should I choose individual pots? The truth is that they look very healthy in the substrate they come in but I did a test and it does not drain water fast as I would like, and my cacti will spend the rainy season outdoors, so I need to change the substrate.
I Really Love Your Massive Collection Of Cacti!
Thanks, I still need to get the more expensive species, I need to start saving money haha.

That $25 cactus looks like a bargain! Wish our nursery experiences were the same; the local nursery near me sells the $250+ varieties, and I salivate every time I go in!
Wow I understand you, I also have that feeling every time I go to the nursery, and $25 doesn't seem like a lot but it can be a 1/3 of a person's weekly salary in my country.
I love the first one (^_^)
I love it too!
Thanks @qurator and @ewkaw!
