A Natural Frame of the Danube River and Castle of Bratislava [Shadow Hunters Contest - Round 125]

Good night, Bee friends!

Here's an interesting shot I grabbed below the Most SNP (Slovenského Národného Povstania) in Slovakia. It's name in English is Bridge of the Slovak National Uprising. That large building across the river is the Bratislava Castle (Bratislavský Hrad) and it's definitely worth a visit.

This post is an entry for the Shadow Hunters Contest - Round 125 hosted by @melinda010100.

I wasn't sure how this shot would come out but I'm pretty happy about the result. 😎

A natural frame was created by 4 different things:

  • Top Left: a structure placed under the bridge to support its weight;
  • Top Right: the bottom part of the bridge;
  • Bottom Left: the path by the shore;
  • Bottom Right: the shadow from the bridge itself.

It's a wonderful city. Some people said to me that they were there for 4 hours and it was enough but I don't understand how. I was there for 4 days and I wasn't ready to leave. 😅

Excellent shot! And my favourite river in Europe. I lived in Vienna, Austria years ago and spent a lot of time next to the Danube. I've always wanted to ride my bicycle the length of the river. I've heard its lovely.
