Shadow Hunters Contest ENTRY #151: Differences

There are differences...

Short and close to the object, or long and farther away.

Distorted. Or upright.

It depends on the time of day.

The shadow would make one think that this chair has a solid bottom, or that is was just a chair.

But it is a garden bench with a slotted bottom.

The shadows cast by this sliding door is more straightforward!

Funny, I saw Shadow Hunters and my brain automatically jumped to the books (and Netflix series) under that name. But photos of shadows are cool too. ;) It's always fun to play with light and take notice of the simple things in life.

It is very addicting, actually! When I am driving, I find myself distracted cuz all I do is hunt for shadows.

The play of light on objects and the shadows they cast are ever changing. It's interesting how one angle of light can distort and another make it seem long and tall. I appreciate my shadow when it looks really thin and skinny!!

I don't get to do this much anymore it seems like, but we used to hike in the spring and early summer, early in the morning. The light on the mosses and new plant life really made for perfect pictures. Maybe this spring, we will need to get up earlier. I'm just usually so tired anymore, it's hard. Burning my candle at both ends is not working so well, lol!

I remember the post, or at least one with the same pictures. I've always been drawn to houses with lots of windows to let in the natural light. In Colorado, our house had an 18' tall wall of glass and it was the width of the house. It was amazing! I miss that house!

Burning your candle at both ends is never good. I think that much of my health issues are related to that one. But then tolerances may differ!
I miss my first house/home too! It seems that I've not been into fixing my homes after I sold my first home. To this day, I regret selling it.

I suppose we all have 'if only's', but then again, we might not be where we are now, nor have know the folks we have known. I would have loved to pick that house up and moved it to here, but that's a bit too far to do that, lol! Take care my sis; the year has just begun and there is an adventure to be had, I'm sure of it! This a shadow I took yesterday when I had to go for a blood work-up at Kaiser.
It was a warm day. So I am glad to share it with you @annepilbrick!
The beach seems fun about now! Temps have taken a dip here. It is like autumn now!
