SUPERMARKET IN MY CAR

Earlier today, when I took a good look at my car parked in front of the big store at the edge of the city, I discovered that there is an entire world, or an entire supermarket at least, trapped in it.

As I was walking around the car, observing the windows and windshield ...

... I was amazed at how much stuff can enter this relatively modest machine. Even an entire streetlamp with its giant pole!

I drove to the outskirts of the city today, because the bank in my small hometown is still closed for some Covid - 19 reasons, and here, at the entrance of the big supermarket called KONZUM, the same kind of bank is still working.

My father had to take his monthly pension money, and do some other stuff with his account, that's why we were there ... early in the morning, 10 - 15 minutes before the thing was even open. While he was waiting in line, you can see my father on this shot - the one with the crutch, I went chasing the reflections all around my car.

I caught myself as well, reflected in the side - view mirror.

When I exhausted the possibilities in the place where I first parked ...

... I just drove about 20 meters further, and the reflections changed.

Different details, and different vistas, were now trapped inside the car. I like how the interior and the outside world ended up mixed inside this magic bubble. On this shot, the Toyota logo of my steering wheel turned into some kind of UFO above the scenery.

On this shot of the rear window, the focus is on the layer of dust collected while driving along dusty roads that lead to various beaches, and the reflection is blurred in the background.

Here, on this seemingly identical shot, the focus is on the reflection, and the dust is slightly less prominent.

At one point, an old Renault 4 parked near my Yaris. Haven't seen that car for quite some time, so it was cool to have him reflected for this post.

Here is the old man that came with the old Renault. On this photograph, you can see him through my rear window, while he is walking towards the supermarket.

Here you can see some messy multiple reflections, some car reflected in the side - view mirror reflected in the window ... and a floating message from the pack of cigarettes above the steering wheel that says "Smoking kills"

In some places, the reflections looked surprisingly deep and real.

Here I caught another streetlamp pole on the windshield.

Here is a view on the covered part of the parking lot, reflected in some side window.

This reflection is displayed on the curved rear window.

This is another rear window moment with a self-portrait included ... caught a bit further, in another area of the large parking lot.

This shot was taken only minutes before leaving the city. May father has done all the banking stuff, and we drove away ...

... while the city bus was still waiting for passengers.
