SHADOWS IN THE CORNER OF SOME RUIN

Some days ago, on my walk along the coast, I passed by the decaying remains of some old buildings that were part of a large farm.

I was searching for insects and other small macro stuff, but while rambling among the old walls under the mostly clear blue sky ...

... I noticed some nice shadows in the corner of the building, took a few shots, and this post was conceived.

The post is short, of course, because I don't know what else to say about these shadows.

They have a nice structure ... and for a moment, made the place look more interesting than usual.

As always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work - THE END.

These are great shadow photos that old farm looks interesting. Do you know the history of it? And did you find any insects there? Remember to put your link on the contest post.

I don't know the exact history of that farming project. The sure thing is that wasn't a usual private farm, but some large communal thing because this was a communist country when the place was in good shape. When it comes to the years when this was, some people told me that it was just after the WW2, in the early fifties or even some years earlier, when the nationalization was very strict, and was abandoned in the late sixties when the politics changed and became more liberal, when Yugoslavia became the most liberal and open of all communist countries. Other people say that this was built in the early seventies. :) Who knows, maybe some third theory or story is true.

I found plenty of insects that day :)

Hi @borjan , the little grasshopper is well camouflaged, I thought it was a leaf, then I read and realized that it was this animal, excellent photos, 14 but well distributed according to what your post describes.
Happy Tuesday
This is my comment to this post, again I must do the same, next time I will see if I can place the comment before reading, sorry, it will not happen again
