Making the most of the latest lockdown.
It's been a while since I posted 500 words a day as around Xmas my days are so busy and life is very busy too. Covid has kicked off again and the whole country has been shut down but that doesn't make too much of a difference to me. I'll still be working and still doing the same things I have been all year.
It doesn't take much to keep me occupied but but I will miss my weekly games of football that have been paused again. I had just gotten back into playing before this latest lockdown.
It might be time for some new hobbies and try to get back writing a bit more actively. Luckily my girlfriend picked up a new game after watching the queen's gambit a while back and wants to learn a bit. It should keep us occupied for a few weeks as we are both very competitive.
I know the basics but it will be fun to try and pick up the game properly. The last time that I even tried was about 20 years back as a kid so I hope to be a bit better than last time.
Anything to pass the days until we get out of the latest lockdown and can get back to some sort of normality going into the summer time.
Vaccination has started and even with numbers ramping up a lot over the Xmas the numbers in hospital haven't really jumped.
It's not too bad but 2020 was a bit of a drag so can't wait for it to end and get going again.

I'm also thinking about starting a new hobby..
Not a bad idea with the year we are having. I will try to get back into writing more consistantly but chess should be a good challenge for the two of us to learn together.
I have started playing chess again, thanks to the lockdown...a lot of good apps to help with strategies. Thank you for your support!
That's a good idea. If my gf is any good I'll have to put in some work to beat her. We are both competitive so I will do what it takes to win.
Dr Wolf, or chess.com is a good one I use....might be better to let her win.....lol
