Morning Run: Brrrrrr

I just finished a 6.93km running that lasted about 0hh:39mm:3ss !

It was a bit chilly this morning, but the sun was out. So was the moon. I brought the chicken water in overnight as it would have frozen. I bring in their food too, but that is so the rats do not get it. I generally find signs of them digging into the run, but there may be less now.

I did the clockwise Fairfield loop again. My feet are still a little sore, but not too bad really. It was a bit frosty and felt slippery in places. A guy passed me up there and was pulling ahead. I was not going to catch him, but I think this spurred me on to go a little quicker. We passed several runners going the other way. My 'pacer' turned off, but I tried to keep the pace up. I did have a couple of dogs decide to get in my way, but they were not attacking.

It felt like a good workout and I was quicker than average on that route. I will be pushing that average down over time I hope. I am generally quicker on the second half once I warm up a bit.

Spring is on the way. Run free and stay well.

Rarely gets that warm here, but this is typical winter for us.

Uh yeah I remember well. Just when summer arrived and I was feeling the mood to cyclotour again, my visa ended =/
So basically, I lived a full year of winter: Brazillian winter 2018 + European winter 2018-2019 + Brazilian winter again when I came back in 2019 \o\

Ah, so you know how it is. I've lived all my life in Europe and not had to deal with extremes of temperature much. It's not so bad really.

That is a bit chilly for your neck of the woods. It was a Wolf Moon last night, so I hope you got some good views of it! Nice job on your run.

It was a nice moon out to the west when I went out, but I rarely get my phone out to take pictures as it slows me down.

I have ice build up on the inside of my windscreen, think the windscreen must have blown.. glad it’s works responsibility. I don’t think I’ll be going back to work for my father, it’s too difficult working for family, will need to sort out a job at some point, but that’s another days task, for now I’m signed off until the end of March, so no pressure there really.

If it gets wet inside the car it can freeze like that. I'm not sure I'd want to work with my dad either. Want to stay friends with him.

Hope you find something that works for you.

Good effort! It was bloomin' cold this morning! Spring needs to come round sooner rather than later.

What is your 'pacer'? is it a phone app?

I meant the guy who passed me. I sped up to try and keep up. Easy to get stuck in a rut when running on your own.

Whoops, my mistake!

Yeah I'd agree... having someone in front can help you keep focused on a decent pace

Cheers for the !BEER
