Let's take care of our community of dishonest behaviors.
Hello dear readers, friends of Project Hope I want to echo a post I recently read from my friend @juanmolina: Attention Project Hope Hive Subscribers - Spamming Accounts !!! This is a publication that refers to possible sparmers, counterfeiters, abusers of the system that could be approaching our beautiful project.
This post lit my alarms as it is something serious that should concern not only the members of our community but also all of us who live on the platform.
Personal appreciation.
It is logical that in any platform or community where some dividend is being obtained for your work, in this case your publications, this attracts people who seek to benefit from the system taking full advantage, even when this involves abusing or breaking the established rules.
The Project Hope community is becoming increasingly attractive, due to its voting system, the commitment among its members and the support provided to all newcomers, this is attracting very valuable people who are providing quality to our content , people who are sharing invaluable knowledge in our group...

In the same way that these very valuable people are added, there is a risk of attracting unscrupulous people who seek to benefit from voting using any strategy in order to generate income, almost like what @juanmolina describes in its publication and publication to which he refers.
In recent days I had a telephone conversation with another Project Hope member, friend @lanzjoseg, in the conversation we referred to some inappropriate behavior of some people or accounts, my personal assessment was that I noticed as a user which I do not remember now, I was Recycling posts, that is, shared a post today, and weeks later the same post went up almost without varying the content.
To be honest I don't know if this behavior represents a violation of any norm, what I can say is that it is a behavior, dishonest, cheater and advantageous because you get them to vote for a publication twice, I think it is not fair.
What can we do?
I am not sure if we can do something against this or other inappropriate behavior that could harm our community, what I do is share my concern in relation to an issue that I think should have our attention.
I call attention to all who live on this platform and our community, we must avoid falling into dishonest, disrespectful behavior, understand that in this way we offend all members of this wonderful community, if at any time you behaved like this, Please rectify your behavior.
In case we could confirm dishonest behaviors, what should we do as a community?
I want to know your suggestions: what can we do to prevent our community from becoming a home of sparmers?

People should reflect on this and be more attentive to what we are reading and if errors occur we are here to help people rectify.
However, it is good to identify and call according to the one that occurs in some cases like those mentioned.
It is necessary to take precautions against those users who incur in these failures. Unfortunately, there are people who try to profit from their fraudulent actions. It is up to you to be strong in your review and in the way you reprimand the one who is doing it.

Community where we are together (members and admin). So in my opinion, let's guard this community in a shared manner, anyone is allowed to reprimand (who does so) but only the admin has the right to decide on all actions.

What I am doing is not a correction as such, nor a warning, it is a reflection for all of us who are part of this community, I do not intend to become a judge, everyone is responsible for their actions and as we are talking about responsible people each You must take care that your actions do not end up hurting the rest of the group.

It is nice seeing you write this post thereby drawing the attention of people to occurrence in the community. I will only face one part of the post which is the solution.
There is a mute button for posts that aren't wanted in the community, so if users are being seen with dishonest behaviours trying to copy-paste or recycle posts, the posts can be muted and the users notified with reasons.
I like to see things from two sides. A lot of people might be intelligent but also struggle with writing extraordinarily long post (200 words can be long for some people). These users might not see their actions as wrong and so correcting them in a careful manner and helping them grow is another way a community can grow itself.

It could be a solution, just because I think it should be a decision discussed with the community administrator to make a decision about issues like these, but the proposal you make can be a way to maintain discipline within this growing group.
I am very happy to have written this publication and that it has reached people like you, these are the opinions that I intend to collect with this work, it is not about persecuting the people who write, it is trying to know the cause behind each behavior and helping for this person to improve, that's what I felt when I wrote this.

I think that in these cases you should be given a warning, by commenting or sending a memo, commenting on the link and the violation or rule that you violated. The next step if the offender continues to commit the offense would be to expel him from the community or tribe and include him on a blacklist where he does not receive votes or support from @project.hope.
In SBI they use that policy and it has been positive so far, it is already a matter of the community giving their opinion and reaching a consensus, but here I contribute the idea.

The suggestion you make is totally valid and can be applied.

We must notify the administrators so that they take the necessary actions, which in my opinion should be the immediate expulsion from the hive and, of course, blacklisting so that they never again receive a positive vote from us.
Does it seem severe? Well it is not.
When a user "makeup" a previous post, he does it with malice and premeditation. It is not an accident.
There is also plagiarism. This is a very dishonest action.
There are several methods to detect plagiarism. I spend several hours on this. But it is hard work.
We should designate an itinerant team with rotating shifts, to try to identify plagiarism in our hive.
The worst thing that could happen to us as a community is that we are giving upvotes and rewards to plagiarized content.

Spammers are quite common in social networks, they seek to spread your message (generally advertising a service or product that gives them profit), of course, in the case of networks that monetize publications and reward creators and curators Things can be more annoying, as they disrupt the reward pool and cause noise.
I think that the way to deal with the matter would be establishing a procedure to warn the participant that their action is considered contrary to the well-being of the community, give them a prudent time to answer the communication and explain their point of view, in case they do not reach a agreement or achieve clarification, then it would be time to silence the user within the community.
Luckily we can MUTE them :)
