"Leshy"

Hello friends, today I want to show you my new fairytale illustration - I depicted Leshy in a straw hat.

Leshy was one of the most popular mythological characters, and remains popular today.
In mythological stories, the goblin appears as a plant, animal or anthropomorphic creature. Leshy was described either as a giant or as a dwarf; there are beliefs that he could change his height. More often, the Leshy seemed to be a lonely creature. He is dressed just like a normal person. Often he is accompanied by a strong wind, or he himself may appear as such. The Leshy has no shadow. He can become invisible and has great power. All the variety of forest sounds is attributed to him, but he can also speak like a human being.

As the owner, the Leshy takes care of the forest, protects it, is the patron of forest animals and plants.
