100th Anniversary of Canada Coin

Tune out the noise

You can't go around pleasing everybody. If you try to please everybody, you end up pleasing nobody. So at a certain point, you just do your thing and don't worry about the noise.

When your buying metals, it's you, your hard work, and your sacrifice. These things aren't given to you. You go out and work for it. You are in complete control... you decide what coins or rounds to buy, silver or gold.

Now that I am able to tune the other nonsense out, I just feel that I am more productive and happy. And honestly, I never had more fun in stacking.

I came to tell you how rewarding this whole thing has been. When I look at what I have accomplished, I am really swelling with pride looking at my silver and gold. And I can't wait to see what the next couple of years brings. All the other stuff is just noise to me.

That's interesting. I have a pretty huge collection of coins... but none of them are gold or silver, they're just random circulating (or ex-circulating) coins from various countries of the world. Heck, I even have some coins from countries that no longer exist! 😁

That is good to hear!
Have you tried to collect a typeset of a certain coin of a country, @trincowski?

I also have a pile of Non precious metal circulating coins most left to me from my father. I haven't sorted them yet. Many are of the Commonwealth variety. We shouldn't preclude that regular coins are not interesting but have a different appeal. There are still rarities out there as well as those with awesome themes depicted on the Reverses. The coin world is big, just check than any copy of the Krause Coin Catalog, it;s bigger than most phone books.

I should write a blog on some favorite Non-silver coins in the summer.

Yes, when I travel I usually try to collect one of each coin. I'm not always successful but most times I can. Other times my uncles bring me some coins from their travels. 🤗

The Royal Canadian Mint has been a prolific producer of commemorative silver and gold themed coinage, bullion coinage, as well as non bullion circulating coinage for internal commerce as well as coinage for various countries around the world.
And like various mints around the world that continue to produce an amazing variety of precious metal coins which is to me, an admission that gold and silver coinage is traditionally real legal tender money.
And is Still real legal tender money by law!

Always, with love 🤗 🌺 💖

The circulating bullion coins, especially the old coins, even when they are low silver content, are nice to collect!
But when it comes to Canadian coins, I only go for the silver dollars, for lack of resources. I still have my US Constitutional coins to stack!
Hugs and Kisses sis 🥰🌺🤙!!!!

I thought it was just a bird and not a swan. But the flying position seems just a little bit weird since there isn't as much detail on the swan and more focus was on the feathers.

Very nice coin collection @silversaver888. We also have been stacking gold and silver coins for years now. We have gotten into the habit of giving them to our kids and grandkids as gifts for birthdays and holidays. We think it's a better gift than something that will be tossed aside in a few months. Sometimes I will wrap them up in a huge box filled with lots of colorful paper, the little ones love the paper better than it's content anyway. hehe
Have a fantastic day!!

That is so good to know @farm-mom!
I am a relatively new stacker, I think I started showing videos in November 2015.
What a great legacy to the kids and grandchildren.
It still blows my mind how stacking saved me from debt and how I am able to remove fiat from the debt-credit system.

Have a nice day as well, my friend!

She looks so young on that coin for being 39. I think the image looks like a 29 year old.. she must have aged very well :-) Good for her 😊

At first I thought maybe it was a gold coin, because of the color.. now I see that isn't so. Beautiful and simple coin. Love it!

Is there a time you would want to clean a coin? I just leave mine alone, in fear of scratching them. Also I like the they grey look the oxidation gives them. But I can't lie.. I also like highly buffed silver too.

How was your weekend?!
You were gone like two days?

I just leave my coin as is. But just to remove the grime, you may want to put them under running water.
That's the of cleaning I do.
As much as possible, if you want them shiny, you get them shiny... then protect them.

Looking forward to your posts, @bdmillergallery!

Yup.. We took off and headed up to Lancaster PA. I have family there and a cousin who is battling cancer, actually for quite some time. She was diagnosed at 21 and is now 31. She just decided to stop treatments and enjoy the time she has left. We like to get up there as often as we can to spend quality time with them. Just a few days seems way too short 😞

Here's a video of the story if your interested in her story.. There is a lot of info out there on her because of the controversy surrounding the story. It's such a shame that her life will be cut short, but she is an inspiration to us. She is a real fighter that has kept a great sense of humor through it all.

I'll just clean them like you say, with mid soap and water. I sort of like the old look of them. 😁

I watch the video!
Gosh, I didn't know that it may cause cancer!
Is she in remission? I suppose so... is she?
They said it spread through her body.
Wow.

No. Unfortunately it has spread through her whole body. She just recently made the decision to end the chemo and enjoy the time she has left. So sad.

She did have a period of remission, but it was short lived.
