We all want to have a way to guess what is going to happen in the future as we can get a lot out of knowing what would happen, whereas when we have no idea what might happen, we can make a lot of mistakes because of bad decisions, but this is something that can be corrected with one simple thing, and that is to know about history.

Humans follow patterns of behavior, and those who know about history can see that these patterns may have been repeated several times during different societies, and an example is the fall of several empires even when at the time it seemed impossible that they could fall, and one of the main reasons why this happened was because of economic problems.

Within these economic problems are things related to a high inflation that occurs by printing a lot of inorganic money, which makes you lose confidence in that currency and ceases to have power over people, and this is something that happened with the Mongol empire and the Roman empire, and even when it is known about this, the United States continues to print inorganic money.

Another way to see that behaviors are repeated over time has been the technical analysis in trading or investments, since we have very reliable patterns of behavior such as bullish or bearish engulfing patterns, but also the breaking of trend lines, being indicators that can give us an idea with a good reliability that something will happen in the future.

Todos queremos tener una forma de adivinar lo que va a ocurrir en el futuro ya que podemos sacar mucho provecho de saber lo que ocurriría, mientras que cuando no tenemos idea de lo que puede ocurrir, podemos cometer muchos errores por malas decisiones, pero esto es algo que se puede corregir con una simple cosa, y es saber sobre historia.

Los humanos seguimos patrones de comportamiento, y quienes saben de historia pueden ver que estos patrones se han podido repetir varias veces durante las distintas sociedades, y un ejemplo es la caída de varios imperios aun cuando en ese momento parecía imposible que pudieran caer, y una de las razones principales por las que esto ocurría fue por problemas económicos.

Dentro de estos problemas económicos se encuentran cosas relacionadas a una alta inflación que se da por imprimir mucho dinero inorgánico, lo cual hace que se pierda la confianza en esa moneda y que deje de tener poder sobre las personas, y esto es algo que ocurrió con el imperio mongol y el imperio romano, y aun cuando se conoce sobre esto, Estados Unidos sigue imprimiendo dinero inorgánico.

Otra forma de ver que los comportamientos se repiten a través del tiempo ha sido el análisis técnico en el trading o inversiones, ya que tenemos patrones de comportamiento muy fiables como los patones envolventes alcistas o bajistas, pero también la ruptura de líneas de tendencia, siendo indicadores que nos pueden dar una idea con una buena confiabilidad de que algo ocurra en el futuro.

Si queremos tener una idea de lo que puede ocurrir en el futuro es bueno que veamos situaciones parecidas en el pasado y veamos que ha ocurrido luego de un evento parecido al que estamos viviendo, ya que la probabilidad de que ocurra lo que más se ha repetido es lo más alto en nuestro caso y podremos prepararnos para aquello.

El conocimiento es poder, y conocer sobre lo que ha ocurrido en el pasado es un gran conocimiento, por lo que quien sabe de historia, simplemente tiene un gran poder en sus manos.
