Today I was watching some comments that Charlie Munger (Warren Buffet's partner) has said about cryptocurrencies and certainly they were strong words for those of us who are using cryptocurrencies on a daily basis but there is also a lot of reason in what he says, and I am not defending him but not attacking him either, just trying to see the two sides of the coin, one in which I know how cryptos work, but also the negative history he has had with cases like Silkroad and other serial killers who accepted Bitcoin to do horrible things.

This conflict in opinions in cryptos is something that can lead us to better results in the future, and in fact is the reason why science has had better results with each new discovery, because theories are made that are criticized, and then other theories are created that try to better explain those criticisms, which makes that little by little we have better ways to understand reality.

There is no denying that Bitcoin has a bad past, and you have to understand that there are those who are going to run from something that has such a past, but there are also a lot of scams happening nowadays, and these are things that cannot be denied, and in fact we have to tell this to the people we want so they can be careful, so it is not something to hide.

But on the other hand there are also very positive things, such as the case of being able to have economic freedom in countries where there are serious economic problems (Venezuela), to invest money with very good returns and to be able to have large amounts of money stored with high security and to which only we can access (it does not happen with banks).

But in the same way that people can have freedom to do whatever we want, dictatorial governments can also have it, and let's see the case of North Korea that has shown to have a department of hackers to steal cryptos that they use to buy weapons, or the case of Venezuela with several mining plants that keep the government with liquidity to continue buying what they use to repress citizens.

Cryptos have very good things, but they also have very bad things, and it all depends on who uses them, and this is what makes each person has a different opinion and that is respectable, just take a little of each opinion and we will see how each new project or technology is getting better and better.

Hoy estuve viendo algunos comentarios que ha dicho Charlie Munger (socio de Warren Buffet) sobre las criptomonedas y ciertamente fueron palabras fuertes para quienes estamos usando las criptomonedas de forma diaria pero también hay mucho de razon en lo que dice, y no estoy defendiéndolo pero tampoco atacándolo, solo intentando ver las dos caras de la moneda, una en la que se el funcionamiento de las criptos, pero también la historia negativa que ha tenido con casos como Silkroad y otros asesinos seriales que aceptaban Bitcoin para hacer cosas horribles.

Este conflicto en opiniones en las criptos es algo que puede llevarnos a mejores resultados en el futuro, y de hecho es la razón por la que la ciencia ha tenido mejores resultados con cada nuevo descubrimiento, porque se hacen teorías que son criticadas, y luego se crean otras teorías que tratan de explicar mejor aquellas críticas, lo que hace que poco a poco tengamos mejores maneras de entender la realidad.

No se puede negar que Bitcoin tiene un pasado malo, y hay que entender que hay quienes van a correr de algo que tenga un pasado así, pero también ocurren muchas estafas en la actualidad, y son cosas que no se pueden negar, y de hecho tenemos que decirle esto a las personas que queremos para que puedan tener cuidado, por lo que no es algo para esconder.

Pero por otro lado también hay cosas muy positivas, como el caso de poder tener libertad económica en países donde hay problemas económicos graves (Venezuela), invertir dinero con muy buenos rendimientos y poder tener grandes cantidades de dinero almacenadas con alta seguridad y a las cuales solo nosotros podemos acceder (no ocurre con los bancos).

Pero de la misma forma en que las personas podemos tener libertad para hacer lo que queramos, los gobiernos dictatoriales también lo pueden tener, y veamos el caso e Korea del Norte que ha demostrado tener un departamento de Hackers para robar criptos que usan para comprar armas, o el caso de Venezuela con varias plantas de minería que mantienen al gobierno con liquidez para seguir comprar aquello que usan para reprimir a los ciudadanos.

Las criptos tienen cosas muy buenas, pero también tienen cosas muy malas, y todo depende de quien las usa, y esto es lo que hace que cada persona tenga una opinión distinta y que es respetable, solo tomemos un poco de cada opinión y veremos cómo cada nuevo proyecto o tecnología va haciéndose cada vez mejor.
