The Hive Engagement League

This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.

Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here, including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks. Only the top 100 scores are shown.

The score is made up from a simple formula which uses the following types of engagement:

  • Posts (P)
  • Comments (C)
  • Number of people spoken to (PS)
  • Comments outside of own posts (CO)
  • Unique Author posts (UA)
  • Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (CR)
  • Comments - length in characters (CL)
  • Up-votes to others (V)
  • Up-votes to different authors (UV)
  • Self-votes - No minus score but no bonus HIVE (SV)

Oh whenever I mention community, I always mean HIVE. Communities are awesome for niche content, specialised interest chat and for belonging to 'your own people' but they must always compliment the whole and not detract too much from it in my usually less than perfect opinion lol.

I am doing better all the time thanks, my return to Hive is gaining impetus and I am so damn excited to see where we go in the coming year and beyond, I am 'wildly optimistic' as I watch this place evolve, I believe the last year has seen us stabilise, consolidate, begin to innovate and prepare to grow fundamentally.

The future is so bright, we gotta wear shades!

Funny, when I think of Community I think of Feathered Friends and Shadow Hunters, because that is where I spend all my time. Both communities are actively growing, and people are earning multiple tokens for being engaged. We are doing a good job at helping Hive grow!

I thought Feathered Friends was just for pictures of birds. 😂

Project Blank is the long awaited, big hyped project by Leo Finance. It's going to be like Twitter apparently, i.e. for short form posts and we will be able to post on any topic.

It's also been hinted that it will be set up in such a way as to not annoy those of your followers who prefer your long form posts.

It's rumoured to be coming later this week.

Bird sculptures and other art bird houses, anything about birds. There is a weekly themed contest hosted by @nelinoeva

Shadow Hunters, Reflection Hunters and Guess the Shadow contest are all in the Shadow Hunters Community.

It will be interesting to see if the Leo project takes off!

I didn't expect to take 2nd but I guess it just means all that commenting in LeoFinance ended up moving me up quite a bit. That along with @amr008's engagement project I ended up commenting a bit more than usual. The @leomarkettalk thread is a great place to engage if anyone wants to participate.

Building the future one comment at a time, right? :-) I've been trying to engage as much as possible while I have the time. Real life is going to be getting in the way shortly. Plus, I've discovered the best way to really figure out what's going on around here is to keep reading what's out there in all sorts of different places. I wonder what is going on with the voting, are people giving out fewer yet higher value votes now that they can, or have some of the voting accounts/curation/investor accounts just cut back.
Three weeks ago votes = (32226 last time)
this week votes are in at 28166, a 4060 vote drop.
Broken bots or vote trails, or people just voting less yet at higher percentages.

Still is is nice to see people still actively enjoying and engaging on Hive.
