[ENG-ESP] Mountain Hiking Or Sailing? | Blogging Challenge Part 05

Hello Hivers! If asked: mountain hiking or sailing, which would you choose? I do not like to stress myself much and so I can tell you, mountain hiking is STRESS! LOL.

¡Hola Hivers! Si se le pregunta: senderismo o vela, ¿cuál elegiría? No me gusta estresarme mucho y así puedo decirte, ¡el senderismo de montaña es ESTRÉS! JAJAJA.

I know there are people who love to go hiking because it's a form of exercise. With hiking, you get to explore places of nature, enjoy beautiful views and fresh air. This can be done at a brisk pace or just leisurely. Either way, it's stressful as you would climb the rocks or a mountain and your body will definitely let you know at the end of the day that you have worked it.

Sé que hay gente a la que le encanta ir de excursión porque es una forma de ejercicio. Con el senderismo, puedes explorar lugares de la naturaleza, disfrutar de hermosas vistas y aire fresco. Esto se puede hacer a un ritmo rápido o simplemente sin prisas. De cualquier manera, es estresante ya que escalaría las rocas o una montaña y su cuerpo definitivamente le hará saber al final del día que lo ha trabajado.

Mountain hiking is best enjoyed when the weather is cool. This means less or no sunshine so you can avoid sunburn.

El senderismo por la montaña se disfruta mejor cuando el clima es fresco. Esto significa menos o nada de sol para que pueda evitar las quemaduras solares.

I remember during my service year in Enugu. We had to go mountain hiking as part of the camp program. I almost died! LOL! I don't hike often so I was pretty exhausted like half way. The sun was also bright and hot on that day.

Recuerdo durante mi año de servicio en Enugu. Tuvimos que hacer senderismo por la montaña como parte del programa del campamento. ¡Casi muero! ¡JAJAJA! No camino a menudo, así que estaba bastante agotado a mitad de camino. El sol también brillaba y hacía calor ese día.

Some of the children who grew up in that area were running around like it was nothing. They ran ahead of us and got to the top with buckets of ice and cold drinks.

Algunos de los niños que crecieron en esa área estaban corriendo como si nada. Corrieron delante de nosotros y llegaron arriba con cubos de hielo y bebidas frías.

I was out of breath along the way, sweaty all over and could barely climb to the top. Some ladies, myself inclusive, had help from some of our male colleagues. There were lots of jokes and laughter but I did not find the experience funny.

Me quedé sin aliento en el camino, todo sudado y apenas podía subir a la cima. Algunas mujeres, incluida yo misma, contaron con la ayuda de algunos de nuestros colegas masculinos. Hubo muchas bromas y risas, pero la experiencia no me pareció divertida.

I have never sailed before but I believe it would be a wonderful experience. Why do I say this? It's water and wind combined! That's the definition of coolness. I daydream of going on a cruise some day. I would stand on the deck, hold unto the rails and allow the wind blow around me as the boat glides on the water.

Nunca había navegado antes, pero creo que sería una experiencia maravillosa. ¿Por qué digo esto? ¡Es agua y viento combinados! Esa es la definición de frialdad. Sueño despierto con ir de crucero algún día. Me paraba en la cubierta, me agarraba a los rieles y dejaba que el viento soplara a mi alrededor mientras el barco se deslizaba sobre el agua.

I see sailing as a form of relaxation. One can get to watch the beauty of nature as well as that of the water. If it's on a sea or ocean, you may be lucky to see the fishes swim around the boat. This is a fun activity and it's best enjoyed with friends and family.

Veo la navegación como una forma de relajación. Uno puede contemplar la belleza de la naturaleza y la del agua. Si está en el mar o en el océano, puede tener suerte de ver a los peces nadar alrededor del bote. Esta es una actividad divertida y se disfruta mejor con amigos y familiares.

I look forward to the day I will go sailing. I will be geared up with my swimsuit, sunscreen lotion and probably let my kinky hair loose. Who knows!
