Southern Beaches of Thailand !!

avatar
There are beaches and then there are beach paradises I have been living in Thailand now for 4 years and I haven't even scratched the surface in seeing the beaches this country has to offer it's only recently that I have started doing a little more traveling around Thailand as for two reasons I haven't seen much of Thailand in the time I have been here because of travel restriction due to the long 2 years of the pandemic and work has kept me quite busy I will say I have seen more of this beautiful country in the past six months then I have in the whole 4 years that I have been here.

Silver Beach, Koh Samui Island, Thailand.

I had the opportunity of visiting Koh Samui Island a couple of months back unfortunately it was only for a short stay was there on a work mission but did get some free time to walk some beaches, Koh Samui Island has numerous beautiful beaches many don't even have names as they are hidden between the headland bays and small coves.

Lamai Beach, Koh Samui Island, Thailand.

Around the 50 km of Koh Samui's coastline there are around 40 well know beaches that are marked on the map and out of all these beaches I did walk Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beach which are the most visited beaches being the most popular amongst tourist. In between Chaweng beach and Lamai beach I did find some more secluded beaches and these are the beaches I much more prefer, unspoiled beaches like Silver beach and Lipa Noi beach. I honestly would have loved to search for more of the hidden beaches on Koh Samui Island but it will have to be another time.

Phuket Island beaches on the Andaman Sea, you will find some of the world class beaches here they call Phuket the Pearl Island, there beaches are always sparkling like diamonds. On this island you will find over 30 well known beaches Patong beach been the main tourist beach with the most activities happening on this beach like Paragliding, Banana Boats, Jet Skies and much more it's mostly a family orientated beach great for kids.

Phuket Island is also well know for it Viewpoints around the island, all having exciting, extreme hiking trails to these viewpoints and then when reaching these viewpoints you can take the trails down to the little hidden beaches in between the small bays and coves. One of my favorite viewpoints was the Black Rock and Windmill viewpoints both having stunning breathtaking views looking down at the headlands across the sparkling Andaman Sea.

All the viewpoints on Phuket Island are on the sun setting side it's at all these viewpoints that you will see the most colorful tropical sunsets you could ever imagine.

When it comes to the most hidden beaches in between these huge limestone rocks protruding out of the Andaman Sea you need to go to Krabi Islands on the west coast of Thailand, I took a Tailboat to some of these hidden beaches only last week and when I saw these hidden beaches on these small islands then I knew I was seeing the real postcard Thailand beaches I had always dreamed about these beaches honestly these beaches left me with no doubt in awe.

The Krabi Islands in Phuket, Thailand are a must visit there are just hundreds of little beaches hidden amongst these limestone rocks some with white sand beaches around them others without, it's only the Tailboat riders that know were all these pristine beaches are hidden and there are still many to be discovered.

The Krabi Islands is well know by the world tourist and they always seem to end up at Phi Phi, James Bond Island, The Beach, but forgetting those smaller islands like Hong Island, Pranang Island beach, Lao Lading Island, Freedom beach, and many more these are the beaches you can do day trips by Tailboat or Speedboats some of these beaches have accommodation where you can stay a couple of nights and enjoy the spectacular tropical sunsets and others where there is no accommodation just enjoy the day in paradise.

Sunset photos on Patoong beach are amazing. I would love to present myself there. The Karabi Islands look similar with the Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. They are all beautiful and I would love to visit. Thank you for sharing.

By the way, can you recommend the best months to visit these islands?

Thank you @dora381 right now is the best time to be traveling around Thailand there are very few tourist and everything is much cheaper I think it would be the same in Vietnam at the moment.

The best time to visit Phuket Island and Krabai Islands is between November and April when weather conditions are ideal for beach activities, such as swimming and boating. The six months between May and October are monsoon season but you still get pretty good sunny days and is much cheaper to travel around Thailand during those months.

It's true what you say, the beaches in Thailand are so beautiful, maybe because of the covid pandemic, there aren't that many people seen there. 🥰🥰🤗🤗
