Winter
Skiing is not my kind of fun.
If it looks or sounds cold it is cold.
I have bad memories of the so-called winter fun as a child.
Ever had knitted gloves that get wet and frozen around your hands? It was impossible to make one snowball with it or a snowman.
Frozen feet already before you started ice skating. How come skates are so cold, not made for the winter?
Once I had a winter holiday with the touring operator Bex.
It was a horror and it took the bus driver 34 hours to arrive in Czechoslovakia.
First, we saw the whole Netherlands and after 8 hours we arrived in Eindhoven. Eindhoven was only one hour driving away from the place I got on the bus.
In Eindhoven, another chauffeur was needed but could not be found.
As we finally left I guess we were lost. Although Bex said there was a tv and a toilet on board the chauffeur did not let us use it. It was boring and the only thing you could do is sleep.
We stopped in some countries to have a short break.
A break where you could not use the toilet or buy anything because you needed a different currency and there was no bank/change available plus it was not allowed to take it out of the country.
Broke we arrived in every way.
I assume the hotel was good and my little kids somehow were fine with it. I do not have bad memories of it.
The only one who took skiing lessons was my moody ex who left his wallet at home and made me pay for everything.
Later he went on winter sport vacation with his friends and I? I had a miscarriage and left him with the children.

I stayed for a few days as a refugee because of problems where I live. Already half solved but I can be with my girls and returning to routines and looking for new things to do.
