Grumpy's day.

How was your day?

It's what I ask my children daily. The youngest first because its home first. No matter if it goes by bike or I pick it up.
"Like usual", grumpy says, " boring".
" It can't be like usual since it is Monday hurray."
It is good to see it smile which it does too if I sing along (we rap) and say we can start our own band and let the bus-kid sing the refrain.

"How was your day?"
The bus-kids already waits for me. It sucks to wait in the cold till your mom picks you up.
"Better as expected."
"So was mine."
We drive back home where it it hopefully warm and grumpy waits for us. I warned the bus-kid which means more talking is needed.

What's the bad mood about?
The fact the youngest has to write down all the bad things about a history film they watched at school. Although the history teacher is boring and her teaching is too the film was great. There is nothing bad to mention about it.

End of the story... Grumpy had a happy day. It turned out it made the tests best of all kids and with best I mean way better about at least 18 points more. After that was said and done we ate and it started with making the homework. Sorry teacher, it will not look for something bad if it is good, there is no need to care any longer for a bad grade anyway.

I always liked studying and my kids do well. They like it but school is not really a challenge for them. Next to it I did home education. They speak three languages fluently by now and and in one year 4.
I am fine with it they do not like to study for years, visit university and do something they like. Most important is they feel happy and are creative.
A career will end anyway.

We talk about everything, pain, finance, death, family, friendship, books, films, homework and we help each other too (that includes homework).

We all love to be alone but that doesn't mean we do not practise social skills.

Grumpy is the name of your youngest? Is it just a pet name or a real name? Does it mean anything in your language? Sorry about my questions. I am just curious. Hehehe. You know, it has a meaning in English, so it perked my interest. Hahaha! 😂

Anyway, glad that Grumpy has a 'not so bad day.' 😊

It's more like a nick name and it means nothing in my language..we would say "mopper" which does mean something like grumble or murder.
I believe grumpy was one of the 7 dwarfs its name in the Disney cartoon Snowwhite.
Might be one of the Smurfs is called that way too. 😁

Saying it was a bad, boring day is the first response but for sure it had a boring day. School is not really a challenge to it more a waste of time. It is the best student. It feels irritated if the others do not learn only make a mess out of the class and are a pain to the teachers. You always have to ask on and if you do the stories are told and the positive things are seen.

That's an odd assignment, to look for bad things. Poor Grumpy -even though he got a great grade on a test his homework is a bummer.
