A journey through the Lights

Today will be a special day, John and Marie will finally be able to travel to the mountains, they will be able to see and feel nature like never before. For this trip they had waited a long time and let many vacations accumulate; the adrenaline had never been as active as today!

Marie, being a forward-thinking person, had packed their luggage a month in advance and the excitement was with her every day, all day long. John, for his part, made the arrangements for the trip. He bought the tickets, booked the hotel and secured his participation in a group that would go out to tour the mountain and camp there in order to see the "Aurora borealis", the greatest light show of nature.

Everything was ready, it was time to leave and everyone made sure that everything was in place, as well as securing the house. But curiously, all was not well, at least not for Hero, a white rottweiler that John had given Marie on her 29th birthday and had been with her since he was a puppy and he kept whining and circling around her, as a sign of not wanting to let her go and no matter how much she talked to him and hugged him, he did not stop crying.

Time passed and John's cousin arrived, who would take care of Hero while the happy couple was away, but the animal's desperation only increased. She hugged him and said goodbye and he just watched them as they drove away on their way to the airport.

Despite the excitement of the trip, they couldn't stop thinking about their pet's sad situation and called to ask about him. John's cousin told them he was calmer, not to worry. These words relaxed the young couple and they were ready to focus on the vacation they had just started.

At the airport, after a snack, they heard a woman's voice informing them that their plane was about to leave and that they should board it. Soon they were in the air on their way to their destination.

It was already night and with it the celestial light show could still be seen in the distance and suddenly, out of nowhere, the plane found itself in the middle of a thunderstorm. The engines began to fail as well as the balance of the plane and suddenly everything changed; the excitement and joy turned into chaos. The party of colors became more intense in the sky and the lightning became more frequent and stronger. Inside the plane everyone was screaming, some tried to communicate uselessly with their family and others just cried; the pilot repeatedly tried to contact the control tower without any response. It was, in short, the closest to death that many of those who were there had ever been.

Suddenly and to everyone's surprise, the lightning, the lights, the colors that only seconds before seemed to hit the window, ended. The plane managed to stabilize, the people stopped screaming and like an act of the illusionist David Copperfield, the plane did not appear again on the control tower radars.

So the plane is off the radar but those inside are still alive? It reminds me of a series.

Thanks for joining pic1000. 👍

Thank you!
About the series, you may find some resemblance, everything fits within the possibilities although the series that I like are the police ones and in no chapter I have seen this type of event. Anyway I appreciate the opportunity for participation.. 👍
