What I Would Do With Twenty Dollars for a Weekend of Fun.

Over the years, the value of naira (my country's local currency) has depreciated beyond reasonable understanding. Currently, naira is trading at 710 naira per dollar.

It amuses me to know that $20 is like chicken change in America, meanwhile, here in Nigeria it's a money of reasonable value. "$20" which sounds like "20 naira" is actually equivalent to 14,200 naira in conversion. So you see, it's a high amount of money and it might sound odd to say, but $20 can actually make my day because there are a lot things I could do with that money.

If I were given just $20 (14,200 naira) all to myself for a weekend of fun, I would first take out 6,000 naira for a hairdo of cornrows with hair attachment which would last for the rest of the month.

I haven't had my hair done in a long while now, so it's an opportunity I can't miss. Plus, it would make me feel good and prettied up for the weekend ☺️.

For me, a weekend of fun will be incomplete if I spent it alone without loved ones to make memories with. So, for this weekend, I'd choose to spend it with my three brothers. And since they're all home for summer holiday, I would love to treat them to domino's for some pizza and soda drinks (it's been ages since we last went there).

The money left should be about 8,200 naira, so, I'd have to buy two medium sized pizza boxes of 2,500 naira which in total is 5,000 naira. We would share it amongst ourselves with a bottle of chilled coke each which should cost about 800 naira in total. I believe it would be fun to just get out together with my siblings. We'd look around, take photos, chit chat, laugh and be merry 🥰.

Now, the remainder money should be about 2,400 naira and part of it would cover our to and fro transportion by bus because our location isn't that far from our residence. And in total, the cost should be about 600 naira.

After the satisfactory fun treat, we'd return home with a remainder money of 1,800 naira. And I'd just keep it to myself for personal use when the need arises. It's my money after all 😏😅.
