Sublime Sunday ~ A Quick Walk and Back Inside

Off we go! At this time of year, we occasionally get milder winter days (-1 C or 30°F) and it's good to get out and get some fresh air under that stunningly blue sky.

To my left.

No, not that way.

I have had beautiful shots of this path through the bush but people and dogs have beaten me to it today.

I'm surprised nobody is playing here on such a beautiful day.

What do the tracks tell us here? I'm going with dogs at play.

A fork ahead and I turn right, on a mission. I wanted to find the big squirrel nest I spotted in the autumn.

Up the hill we go.

You can see the old schoolhouse beyond the trees.

The nest was obvious when it was built with golden coloured leaves but now I'm straining to find it. Is that it?

And that's when a couple of dogs arrived for a quick visit.

There was some event or other on today judging by the cars in the parking lot.

I just stood there and took a few photos. We really are surrounded by beauty.

I headed down the path to my left.

Look up. It's not the nest I was looking for but it will do.

There were no signs of any squirrels out today.

I left my path to look over the nearby hill. Nothing happening in that direction so I returned, walked another block, and headed back to the main road.

Hmmm... I looked inside. No idea. This is what serves for intrigue these days.

The flowering crabapple trees.

Everything is beautiful against that sky.

Another path calls me.

Back on the road. The sun beating down turns the snow to mush. Pretty soon, I'm back inside.

Starting another project.

Admiring my handiwork while I make coffee.

And then drinking my coffee in a sunbeam with the orchids. Sublime.
