A Quiet Pier in West Bali

Hi everyone, I 'd like to share about my beautiful day at the pier of West Bali. A few days ago I went to my wife's home with my family in the northern part of my island. It's about 1.5 hours drive to reach the north from my place. There is no straight road from my place from the south to the north that we had to drive to west then turned to the north.

We drove through the road in the west near the sea. I had an idea to check an area called Gili Putih or The White Island located somewhere in the west. I haven't been there, and my friends said it is a beautiful island. It's a very small island in the middle of the sea with white sand all over.

I made a stop on the pier where there were some speed boats parked nearby. There were no activities at all. Maybe it's just the time I was there was not right. It was in the midday. I think people go there in the morning or the sunset time. But that's not the only reason. The main reason is that because there is not really any tourist coming to Bali at the moment.

The scenery at the pier was great. I took walk along the pier enjoying the sound of the wind and the view of the sea. I saw several wooden boats and speed boats. These boats were not intended for fishing, but for transporting visitors to the white island. Most of the boats stayed in the pier. I did not see anybody at the pier. It's very quiet there.

Maybe it's good that there is no one around. I could take photos freely around the pier.

I did not get to the white island this time. I would like to do so one day to visit this beautiful place.
