Of apparently very relaxed attitude, careless appearance and with a somewhat disturbing philosophy, José Doráncel Vargas Gómez, as is his real name, killed more than 12 people and then ate them without any remorse

Now... Who was the comegente?
He was born on May 14, 1957 in the State of Merida, Venezuela, in a humble family of which many data is unknown, only that his "family and friends" kept their distance because of his strange behavior, such as: liking to eat raw cattle meat and blood, among other things...

During his life, he only reached the 6th grade, so far everything seems to be a "normal" story...

However, between 1992 and 1995, he is known to have committed crimes such as stealing cattle and chickens, besides allegedly being responsible for the death and ingestion of Cruz Baltasar Moreno...

By that time reports indicate that he was imprisoned in the Centro Penitenciario del Occidente, but after being diagnosed with mental problems he was transferred to the Instituto de Rehabilitación Psiquiátrica Dr. Raúl Castillo in Peribeca Edo. Táchira, from which after 2 years he was discharged for not presenting any pathological signs, apparently he had been "cured".

After that, it is known that he isolated himself and lived in the area as a homeless, during that period where nobody followed his trail and everyone thought he was lonely and crazy....

He was constantly hunting in the 12 de febrero park, by the Torbes river, in Tachira State, grabbing his victims which he killed and then dismembered them, taking the best parts to eat and the rest he buried and/or threw away.

Do you want to know some curious facts about his murders?

• He felt that eating people was not bad, because they were him, that is, they were part of him, since it was in his stomach.
• The victims should feel happy because he ate them.
• He liked to eat men... He didn't mess with women or children
• He liked skinny, sporty men and to eat his friends, because they were tastier, in the case of friends he made them feel confident and then killed them, he even said that he got them drunk and then killed them with a stone.
• He said that the bodies that he killed, continued speaking, in fact in many interviews, he said that they disturbed him in their silence.
• He believed in God and spirits.
• He did not think of trapping his victims to sell their organs because he considered that each person was the owner of his body.
• Eating people was like eating pears
• He did not kill animals because he considered that they were to be worked and people to be eaten.
• He made empanada with the meat of his victims and liked to eat the meat raw with salt and blood.

On February 12, 1999 some agents of the former Civil Defense agency found a horrible finding in the area, they were some dead young people, making recognition in the place the figure rose to 8 victims, so they began to investigate who were the missing, finding the whereabouts of Dorangel Vargas, who lived in destitution and whose surroundings was a macabre scene of terror, human body parts, hands, feet, dismembered heads and remains of bones ... All of this was horrifying and horrible, but Dorangel expressed in his declarations
