Nunca pensé que un día estaría describiendo como mi sueño más reciente el poder salir de un virus, pero es así. Tan solo de pensar en los estragos que ha causado la pandemia a nivel mundial me invade una profunda tristeza. Desde el año pasado hemos visto la muerte tocar a nuestra puerta y llevarse a tantas personas cercanas. Si bien no se puede precisar la causa de muchas de estas muerte me atrevo a pensar que de una u otra forma todo está relacionado a este virus horrible que pareciera atacar de una u otra forma a personas con sistemas inmunológicos más débiles hasta llevarlos a la muerte. Más allá de que puedan presentar síntomas del virus ellos han terminado desvaneciéndose ante nuestros ojos.

A veces siento que estamos en mundo post apocalíptico, que el fin del mundo se trataba sobre esto. Siento que el mundo acabó porque ya no es ni remotamente parecido al que solíamos conocer, un mundo lleno de libertad, para muchos, quienes podíamos disponer de nuestros espacios como quisiéramos. Parece mentira que hayamos dado tantas cosas por sentado y hoy respirar bien se ha vuelto la mayor de las bendiciones, aunque siempre lo fue pero, tal vez, no lo habíamos notado. Sin aire no hay vida, así de fácil.

Por todo esto mi sueño más reciente es ver al mundo libre del Covid, que podamos vivir una vida sin esta plaga que azota a la humanidad. Deseo que puedan crear una vacuna efectiva y que así como han podido controlar virus mortales como lo hicieron con la viruela y otros tantos. Espero que sean capaces de hacer lo mismo en este caso puntual. Va poco más de una desde que el Covid se apoderó de nuestros mundo, pero en retrospectiva parece un largo tiempo. Claro que hemos aprendido de todo esto...pero por las malas, lamentablemente muchas personas aún creen que es un juego y no se cuidan como debe ser. Deseo de todo corazón ver este sueño cumplido muy pronto. Dios nos ayude a seguir adelante.

I never thought that one day I would be describing as my most recent dream to be able to get out of a virus, but that is how it is. Just thinking about the havoc the pandemic has wreaked worldwide brings me deep sadness. Since last year we have seen death knocking at our door and taking away so many people close to us. While the cause of many of these deaths cannot be pinpointed, I dare to think that in one way or another it is all related to this horrible virus that seems to attack in one way or another people with weaker immune systems to the point of death. Beyond the fact that they may present symptoms of the virus, they have ended up vanishing before our eyes.

Sometimes I feel like we are in a post apocalyptic world, that the end of the world was about this. I feel that the world has ended because it is not even remotely similar to the one we used to know, a world full of freedom, for many of us, who could dispose of our spaces as we wished. It seems unbelievable that we have taken so many things for granted and today breathing well has become the greatest of blessings, although it always was but, perhaps, we had not noticed it. Without air there is no life, it's as easy as that.

For all this my most recent dream is to see the world free of Covid, that we can live a life without this plague that plagues humanity. I wish they could create an effective vaccine and that just as they have been able to control deadly viruses as they did with smallpox and so many others. smallpox and so many others. I hope they will be able to do the same in this specific case. It's a little over a year since Covid took over our world, but in retrospect it seems like a long time. Of course we have learned from all of this...but the hard way, unfortunately many people still think it's a game and don't take care of themselves as they should. I wish with all my heart to see this dream fulfilled very soon. God help us to move forward.
