Street art is a form of expression of modern art.
Today I wanted to share the photos I took of a mural in the historic centre of my city, Potenza, near Piazza Giacomo Matteotti.

The artist of this mural is called Frank Tonno, I looked up what I assume is his artistic name on the web and found his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Frank-Tonno-179330248935089/).
I looked at the works that the artist has shared on Facebook and some of them are really particular and beautiful.
Frank Tonno is an artist who, in my opinion, is very talented.

On his Facebook page the artist commented on the mural in this post with the following title:
"Potenza is to be loved with eyes closed".

The main subject of this mural is precisely my city.
Potenza is a small city with about 70000 inhabitants.
In this mural there is my city seen from under the Musmeci bridge, which is the bridge that connects the Potenza Centro motorway exit to the other access roads to my city.
The Musmeci bridge is not just any bridge but a very special piece of architecture.
The bridge was built between 1971 and 1976 by the Italian engineer Sergio Musmeci, who is famous for creating modern and architecturally complex structures.

I conclude this post with other details and enlargements of Frank Tonno's mural, which is an example of how Street Art (the one of artistic quality and not some scribbles I see around that I would be able to do myself) can embellish and enrich a place, a city.

Un bell'esempio di Street Art nella mia città

L' arte di strada è una forma di espressione dell'arte moderna.
Oggi volevo condividere le foto che ho scattato ad un murales che si trova nel centro storico della mia città, Potenza, a due passi dalla piazza Giacomo Matteotti.

L'artista si chiama Frank Tonno, ho cercato quello che presumo sia il suo nome d'arte sul web ed ho trovato la sua pagina Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Frank-Tonno-179330248935089/).
Ho guardato i lavori che l'artista ha condiviso su Facebook e alcuni sono davvero particolari e belli.
Frank Tonno è un artista che secondo me ha molto talento.

Sulla sua pagina Facebook l'artista ha commentato il murales di questo post con il seguente titolo:
"Potenza è da amare ad occhi chiusi"

Il soggetto principale di questo murales è proprio la mia città.
Potenza è una piccola città che conta circa 70000 abitanti.
In questo murales c'è la mia città vista da sotto il ponte Musmeci che è il ponte che collega l'uscita autostradale Potenza Centro alle altre vie di accesso della mia città.
Il ponte Musmeci non è un ponte qualsiasi ma è un'opera architettonica davvero particolare.
Il ponte è stato costruito tra il 1971 e il 1976 dall'ingegnere italiano Sergio Musmeci famoso per la realizzazione di opere moderne e abbastanza complesse dal punto di vista architettonico.

Concludo questo post con altri particolari e ingrandimenti del murales di Frank Tonno che è un esempio di come la Street Art, quella di qualità artistica e non di alcuni scarabocchi che si vedono in giro che sarei in grado di fare anche io, può abbellire e arricchire un luogo.
