There's no turning back

This could be a contemplation about some profound thought or life event... but no. Much more mundane.

I'm currently housesitting and dogsitting at my parent's house, and since my new computer is a desktop, decided to bring my old laptop so I could keep doing my usual stuff in an easier way (or so I thought)...

After just 5 minutes at the computer, I was already wondering... how did I managed to keep using this laptop for so long?. You see, it's been only a few months since I have my new computer. It was obvious how faster I could do everything since I've started using it, and it's even more obvious now that I'm using the old laptop again.

There's no turning back, once you start using new stuff and realise how uneffective the old ways were. This post probably took 5 times more to do, given all the time taken to process the photos!

Being a post about the old ways, might as well join a monomad challenge and revisit the memories from places from a loooong time ago.

From the peak of Pico Areeiro, in the island of Madeira, to the margins of lake Como, fortunately I have no shortage of memories, and photographies to make them even more vivid.

I especially searched for some of the oldest photos in my archive. This awesome beach in Iceland, for instance: it's been ten years since I set foot there.

The memories also work as a reminder; this is one of the countries that I want to revisit for sure. I've missed the northern lights while I was there, so i have a pretty good excuse to go back; nevertheless, all the wonderful things I could see always leave me with a smile on the face.

And this was one of the rare ocasions where I've captured some of them (smiles, that is); I'm not that fan of people photography, but the joy of these kids was akin to be captured on camera: there were so happy when I agreed to photograph them!

You know me probably, by now; wildlife photography is my thing; from the posers and curious ones...

... to everything else, even the ones that try to blend in with the environment.

I don't know when or where will my next trip be... but hope to take care of that soon! ;)
