The beauty of the spines, my entry to today's Monomad Challenge.

The last weeks I have dedicated a lot of time and money to my little garden, the one that is filling up with cacti and succulents, although I personally prefer cacti the truth is that I have started to buy many succulents for my collection, cacti fascinate me because they grow in hostile environments, deserts surrounded by constant dangers (like dying dehydrated or drowned) but what I like the most is to see their sharp spines, those that when paying attention we can find symmetry, that is what I want to show you today.

Today I spent most of the day in the garden, after spraying I spent several hours checking the cacti to see if the treatment had taken effect, that's why I was looking at each of the cacti and that's where the idea of taking these photos of their spines came from.

There is not much to say, the only thing left is to enjoy these photographs and find the beauty in them, I find the spines beautiful, although every time one reaches my skin I suffer like any mortal.

It only remains for me to say that the pictures were taken with the Canon T6 and the Macro extension tubes, I used the 18-55mm kit lens and in all the pictures I used the external flash on the camera, I didn't use a tripod for any of the pictures.
