Another Busy Day of these Hivers in the Physical World: @hivecebubloggers invitation to Cebu Mini Golf Course!

11am - 2:15 pm; Lunch with @cheerupwithjl and @gerel

@cheerupwithjl arrived, and @gerel had already prepared the food on the table so then we all ate together for lunch. We had different dishes on the table. My partner made some chana masala yesterday and tell you what, when we came back from Marco Polo, our place smelled like you walked into an Indian kitchen. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking but believe it or not, Indian cuisine is one of my favorite cuisines. I love experimenting my palate with different flavors from the spices. He also cooked some plain paratha , and vegetable samosa that we bought from Landers, a bigger supermarket in town that sells a lot of variety of imported goods. We also had some excellent beef brisket and a whole lot more protein from Marco Polo's weekend market which I will feature soon.

As I am writing this, @cheerupwithjl is doing a soft glam look on me to prepare for our Hive field trip to Serenity Farm Cebu for the Opening of the Mini Golf and the Hobbit House.

He also brought his makeup kit with him if I ever need to redo my makeup, he can easily get his make-up. But I am hoping I don’t need one and my super sassy me won’t even demand it. Well, I don’t know, all of a sudden, I really got inspired to pamper myself and I even told Jl that I was super hyped today that my adrenaline might have reached the limit, lol! Feels like I'm dancing without music. I think it’s because of these upcoming projects that we @hivecebubloggers will be venturing on. As I’ve said in my previous post, these bees are super busy!

JL finished doing my makeup at 2:14 and this was so far what I finished writing. I have to change into my outfit and spend some time with my baby before we leave.

3:20 pm Waiting for the van

I called @explorewithsasha to check who is already at Ayala, where she and the other @hivecebumembers will meet, since it's the pick up spot. And while waiting for them, we headed by the pool and gave my baby his snack and this way I can still spend time with him.

About thirty minutes passed, I called Floriza and she told me that they're on their way to my place to pick us up. While a little anxious that we are running late, I sent Mr. Tan a message to let him know our current situation. I think it’s best next time to always update the other person as to what is going on. And set proper expectations to members about being early rather than being late and communication is the key.

The next part of this blog is written today, Sunday, the day after the visit to Serenity.

4:40 pm onwards Arrived at Serenity Farm & the bees got busy!

We got to our destination in less than twenty minutes from my place so I had to send Mr. Tan a message that we had already arrived. However, my mobile internet connection was so slow that the message didn’t send until about a minute. So, I had @explorewithsasha call him on his number. He was quick to answer the phone call and had instructed to park specifically in a different spot where not everyone usually parks.

Everyone’s so excited for this visit and all unoccupied the van in seconds! So what’s next? Of course, a quick briefing from the owner and he then had escorted by his general manager, June to show us around. After we all took photos of the random spots, we were able to use the mini-golf course and later on, they served us our dinner and drinks. All the food, drinks were free, and to play golf.

Look at how much food we had, we needed to call some back up in order for us to finish it, apparently, others have other errands on that day.

Since it's our fifth month as @hivecebubloggers community, we decided to do a small celebration. And thanks to @sassycebuana for sponsoring the cake and for @gerel for preparing the five balloons! Thank you also for these amazing people who joined us in this Hive activity: @sassycebuana @explorewithsasha @gerel @cheerupwithjl @asasiklause @itsmiessyonpeakd @charisse.craves @tanawabai @queenmeiko22

Make sure you follow these creative Hivers to not miss more stories as they will share their own experience on this field trip to Serenity Farm Busay!

For now, I will share with you a brief summary of this visit.

  • Purpose:

To experience the Cebu Mini-Golf Course & write a review of our personal feedback and story. While everyone has their own approach on how they write their blogs, I encourage those who participated to share their observations about the place and the food and if there are things that can help improve to help the business see that opportunity to make necessary changes for better experience between the management and the customers.

  • Call to Action:
It’s all about give and take. And because we received a really warm welcome from the owner and his staff, it is only fair that we show support to these amazing people by featuring them on our social media accounts.
One important thing on this call to action is to also promote the hive brand so, adding the #hive tag to their social media posts on web2 would help spread the Hive awareness.

  • Future Collaborations:

Although it’s not as easy to just collaborate with any businesses in the local area, it’s important to consider the reputation of the business and the service that it offers. While there are no official collaborations yet, the owner and I are both enthusiastic to make this collaboration work and we even got a second invitation from him to go back if only the schedule permits. I do know that my @hivecebubloggers family will help me in this project like they always do!

It was such a fun time and very hard for us to end the night a little early but since we only rented the van, we had to call it a night. Even though we paid for the van, the experience was much worth it, especially sharing this moment with @hivecebubloggers family. And because of the support that is receiving from my team, I didn’t mind paying 2,000 pesos out of 2600 for the van transportation, but that would cover three of my members who aren’t earning as much compared to the others, and this way I hope they see my dedication in this community and I only wish for a better future and fun experience Hive in the physical world.

Samosa, paratha, I might've been too distracted with food to play mini-golf. Looks like a good time.
