Hello everyone. There is one more vegetable in the home garden that I want to share today. I'm not sure everyone knows about this vegetable. This vegetable is ficus lacor buch or ficus infectoria aunct. Thai people in the northern call this vegetable : Phak Huad or Phak Hee. And thai people in the central and southern call this vegetable : Phak Luet or Phak Liab.
The ficus lacor buch is a medium sized perennial plant, about 8 - 15 meters tall. The leaves of this vegetable are pink and green. We can harvest the young leaves of ficus lacor buch to cook food, which the young leaves (pink and green) of this plant in Thailand is a type of vegetable.
I planted two ficus lacor buch plants in my home garden several years ago. And every year I can only harvest its young leaves once a year. Because it will young leaves emerge, once a year. Yesterday and today, my wife's brother and I harvested young leaves of ficus lacor buchs. So my wife cooked it today. Today my wife cooked spicy soup ficus lacor buch with chicken and chicken offal.
In addition to ficus lacor buch, the wife harvests small tomatoes in the home garden to cooked spicy soup ficus lacor buch with chicken and chicken offal too.
Ingredients : spicy soup ficus lacor buch with chicken and chicken offal.
- ficus lacor buch
- chicken
- chicken offal
- small tomato
- garlic
- curry paste
- cayenne pepper
- pork flavour seasoning powder
Pick only the young leaves of the ficus lacor buch to use as ingredients for this dish.
Pound the curry paste, garlic and cayenne pepper together.
Then stir-fry the pounded curry paste in the pot until the curry paste is cooked and fragrant.
Put chicken and chicken offal in a pot and stir fry mixed with curry paste until chicken and chicken offal are cooked.
Put water in a pot and boil until the water boils, then put the ficus lacor buchs in the pot and boil until the ficus lacor buchs are cooked.
Then put the cut small tomatoes in the pot, boil for a while until the tomatoes begin to soften, then turn off the gas stove.
Done, spicy soup ficus lacor buch with chicken and chicken offal.
Additionally, she grilled pork meatballs and sausages in a pan to eat with spicy soup ficus lacor buch with chicken and chicken offal too.

I do not think this plant is native to my place. I don't recall seeing it. Anyway, the plant is quite tall. The food looks delicious! mouthwatering! I am sure everyone loved the soup and the chicken made by your wife.
