The First Day of the 77th Founding Anniversary of our Town, Manticao Misamis Oriental. Highlighting the Newly Rehabilitated Marcelino F. Ratunil Parks and Plaza, and the Bibingka Festival Street Dancing Competition! πβΊοΈπ
Have a Blessed Day to all ASEAN Hivers and all my Fellow Hivers all over the World!
We are now started a new month, the Month of February in which this month is called as Love Month but this is not what I am going to share in today blog post.
This month of February is a very special month of our town, the Municipality of Manticao in which our town celebrates it 77th Founding Anniversary.
It is expected that many activities and events will happen for the whole week and today, Monday it started with the Street Dancing Competition for our Town's very own Bibingka Festival.

The night before this day, our town's plaza which is the Marcelino F. Ratunil Parks and Plaza has been officially open to the public after almost a year od rehabilitation.
The Parks and Plaza that our town is very unique and famous as many people and tourist from other places came here just to see the sceneries and on that night the park and plaza were almost occupied by tourist and citizens of the town.

The first event that will be happening this day is the Street Dancing Competition for the Bibingka Festival. Our town is known for Bibingka or Baked Rice Cake, as this is one of our town's main delicacy that many tourist and visitors loved to eat.
As I arrived at our town's Parks and Plaza, it is my first time to see it in person when it is morning and I might say it was really wonderful and to be visit worthy by tourist and visitors.
What I do like the most is the playground for the kids in which this is very here. Our Mayor and all his colleagues helps each other to make all of this possible. Many Kids were here playing and also adults to watched an event today.

I have then decided to go to the town's Covered Court as the Bibingka Festival's Street Dancing Competition is held and it is already started as the time it officially started by 8:00 in the morning but I arrived at around 10:00 in the morning.
Now that I am finally inside the Covered Court, many people were here inside watching and I have went to an area where I can watched properly, though it is a bit hard to looked for.
Only few contenders left to perform but it is okay, at least I have watched few of the performers today from the 13 Barangays of our town the Municipality of Manticao.
It is indeed a great and wonderful to watched such a competition like this, as this showcases history and talents we have here in our Town. From the Bibingka Festival itself which is also very famous all throughout our province, to the talented students and participants.
Truly our Town is continually progressing to the next level as years passed by. Thank God the Bibingka Festival Street Dancing Competition has successfully ended, and they have all perfomed very well.

That was around 11:15 when the Street Dancing Competition had finally concluded and it is now time for the much awaited part of everyone most especially the participants, the awarding of winners.
Before it started, the giving of plaque of appreciation to the invited judges were given first then the Choreographers and all who trained the participants were also acknowledged by giving all of them a certificate of participation.
Now, the wait is over, the awarding of winners will start snd and everyone is now excited most especially the participants. All of them were shouting hoping that their team will win.
It I first with the special awards in which two of the Contenders have won almost of the special awards, and that means they have the chance to win this time.
The results were already locked and cannot to revoke anymore. The winners are, 3rd Place is Poblacion, 2nd Place is Tuod and the Grand Champion is Pagawan in which they were also the defending Champion last year.

It is already noontime, and it is time for me to go home as it is also time for lunch. But since I didn't have some pictures with some of the sceneries here, I have decided to stay first for a while and have some picture taking.
I went to the Jose Rizal Statue and Andres Bonifacio Statue. Both of them were our National Heroes who fought for our freedom, and I am very thankful to both of them together with other heroes we have.
I have taken some pictures here with me as a remembrance to be here and to see how beautiful and wonderful our Parks and Plaza now after the rehabilitation.
This would be all for today's post, and until next time again, I just want to thank everyone in advance who will drop by on my blog post.
To God be all the Glory! ππβοΈ

I love these small-town anniversaries! People gather around, celebrate their homeplace, and it's always a lot of fun... Seeing your photos, it looks like it was a very colorful event! Those dancing groups are adding a special touch to it, and it's great to see many children following the event... It's definitely much better to have fun with other kids in real life, outdoors, than to sit in front of a game console or a mobile phone...
Thanks for sharing!
