I show you how I made a knitted piglet
For this year I have several challenges in the world of my passion, as I have already mentioned, my passion is knitting.
Among the leftovers I have planned, to complete the projects I have started and have not completed, there are quite a few🙃.
So I took out the yarns to complete this amigurrumi, I followed the steps of a knitter I admire a lot here the link. I started this amigurrumi about six months ago.
Hablemos de los materiales
Let's talk about materials
I love knitting amigurumis but I have stopped knitting them, as I don't have much variety of cotton yarns, I think they are perfect in cotton yarn.
I was reading the blog and I stumbled upon this pattern and I decided to make it. The pattern is for a little pig but I made a little pig 😍.
I dared to knit them using yarns other than cotton. I used wool for the body and for the rest I used acrylic yarn, the acrylic yarn was double stranded.
I also used pins, scissors, blunt yarn needle and crochet hook 2.0.
Les muestro cómo realicé la cerdita
Let's talk about materials
Hocico
Snout.
I started making the muzzle, it's a small piece, it's hard for me to knit small pieces but I always manage to do it 🙂 After knitting the snout I embroidered it with pink thread.
Cabeza
Head
With the amigurrumi knitting principle, I started knitting the head, I knit tightly, I like the stitches to be closed. I use stitch markers to start each round and keep track of the loops.
Ojos y hocico
Eyes and snout
After I had made some progress on the piggy head, I proceeded to place the eyes, to make sure the placement was correct, I used pins. Once I had located where I wanted the eyes I placed the safety eyes.
I also placed the snout and then carefully sewed it on.
Next I continued knitting the pig's clothes, using two colours of acrylic yarn. Then I went back to the colour of the head to complete the body of the pig.
The little pig's feet
Using stitch markers I divided the stitches to knit each of the legs and the crotch.
Bracitos
Arms
I knitted two pieces, then pinned them to each side using pins, finally I sewed them together using a wool needle.
Piggy tail.
I started by knitting a chain stitch with a 2.5 crochet hook, I like to knit the chain stitches with a larger crochet hook than the one I use for knitting. On this chain I knitted two increases on each chain, these increases on the chain allow the knitting to twist.
Orejas
Ears
I knitted two ear pieces, pinned them first and then sewed them on with a wool needle. It is important to place the pieces with pins before sewing them to the head, this placement with pins guarantees the right placement.
Attaching the bow
To make the piggy look more flirtatious, I placed a bow that I had previously knitted. I love to have different decorative elements such as bows, butterflies, among others in order to be able to select the one that best matches the piece I'm knitting.
I am fascinated with this result, it is a very cute little pig.
This little piggy goes into the amigurrumis inventory, which by the way I had few left, I like to have amigurrumis in inventory, because I can be ready in time to give it as a gift to a child or for a sale that may arise.

Hola!
