Knitted striped hat with circular needles
Saludos querida comunidad, feliz sábado, el día de hoy les quiero compartir un gorro a rayas tejido con agujas circulares para mi hermana @mayoly1 , hace mucho tiempo ella me había pedido que le hiciera un gorro como el que le hice a mi mamá hace mucho tiempo, el cual ella usa con frecuencia para proteger su cabello después que lo plancha, le dije a mi hermana que en este momento yo no tengo estambre para tejer a dos agujas, así que ella como es maestra me dijo que tenia algunos estambre escolares en su casa y me preguntó que si estos servían para tejer, le dije que si servían y los trajo, como estos eran de colores variados le hice un gorro a rayas, a mi parecer quedó muy bonito, además que disfrute mucho haciéndolo porque no siempre tengo la oportunidad de usar mis agujas circulares, acá les comparto cómo lo hice.
Greetings dear community, happy Saturday, today I want to share a striped hat knitted with circular needles for my sister @mayoly1, a long time ago she had asked me to make her a hat like the one I made for my mom a long time ago time, which she often uses to protect her hair after she irons it, I told my sister that right now I don't have yarn to knit with two needles, so she, as a teacher, told me that she had some school yarn in her house and she asked me if these were good for knitting, I told her yes, and she brought them, since they were of varied colors I made her a striped hat, in my opinion it turned out very nice, besides, I really enjoy doing it because I don't always have the opportunity to use my circular needles, here I share with you how I did it.
Materiales / Materials
- 48 gramos de estambre escolar de 4 colores diferentes (al menos 12 gramos por color)
- Agujas circulares para tejer # 4
- Aguja de ojal grande
- Tijera
- 48 grams of school yarn in 4 different colors (at least 12 grams per color)
- Circular knitting needles #4
- Large eyelet needle

Proceso / Process
Tejer en dos agujas es muy placentero para mi porque fue la primera técnica que aprendí cuando era niña, pero en aquellos años nunca tejía con agujas circulares porque tenía una # 2 y por lo tanto solo podía tejer con lanas delgadas o bebé como son llamadas, ahora tengo una de 4 mm y se adaptan muy bien para tejer gorros a pesar de que tienen el cable largo, el cable largo no es inconveniente si se realiza la técnica del mágic loop pero de niña no tenía acceso a Internet o revistas que me dijeran como se hacía, esta técnica consiste en halar el cable sobrante a la mitad de los puntos entonces quedan la mitad de los puntos justo al frente de la otra mitad.
Knitting on two needles is very pleasant for me because it was the first technique I learned when I was a child, but in those years I never knitted with circular needles because I had a #2 and therefore I could only knit with thin or baby yarns as they are called, now I have a 4mm one and they are very well suited for knitting hats even though they have a long cable, the long cable is not a problem if you do the magic loop technique but as a child I did not have access to the Internet or magazines that would tell me As it was done, this technique consists of pulling the excess cable to the middle of the points, so that half of the points remain right in front of the other half.
Para este gorro monté 79 puntos sobre las dos agujas luego extraje una de estas, halé el cable a la mitad del número de puntos para enfrentar los puntos, luego pase el primer punto de la aguja derecha al la izquierda , tejí dos puntos juntos con las dos hebras, de este modo quedan 78 puntos unidos de forma circular. Con el mismo color de estambre tejí 8 vueltas de punto elástico 1/1, es decir 1 punto al derecho y 1 punto al revés de forma consecutiva.
For this hat I cast on 79 stitches on the two needles then I pulled one of these, pull the cable through half the number of stitches to face the stitches, then pass the first stitch from the right needle to the left, I knit two stitches together with the two strands, in this way there are 78 stitches joined in a circular way. With the same color of yarn I knitted 8 rows of 1/1 rib, that is, 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch consecutively.
El cuerpo del gorro está formado por punto jersey, es decir que en todas las rondas se teje al derecho porque es circular, para hacer la rayas se debe cambiar el color en cada ronda, hasta hacer un total de 48 vueltas.
The body of the hat is formed by stockinette stitch, that is to say that in all the rounds it is knitted to the right because it is circular, to make the stripes the color must be changed in each round, until making a total of 48 rounds.
Siguiendo el mismo orden de cambio de color de estambre, hacer 6 disminuciones por vuelta hasta obtener solo 6 puntos en las agujas, a partir de allí cortar la hebra larga y con la aguja de ojal grande cerrar estos últimos puntos, como es una aguja circular no se necesita hacer una costura lateral, por ser de rayas se deben cortar y anudar las hebras de colores al final del lado de adentro.
Following the same order of yarn color change, make 6 decreases per round until you get only 6 stitches on the needles, from there cut the long yarn and with the large eyelet needle close these last stitches, as it is a circular needle It is not necessary to make a side seam, since it is striped, the colored threads must be cut and tied at the end of the inner side.

Espero a mi hermana le guste el gorro, aun ella no ha venido por este pero creo que hoy lo hará, seguro sus ojos claros resaltará con el color del gorro, pero vino su hija así que le puse el gorro a ella y se ve hermosa 😊
