Battle to get the full moon.

A Happy Friday to all and I will show you some struggles here.
248.jpg

Beautiful isn't it and it was those same clouds that would give me some @proofofbrain moments later on.

So, you know that you can take great shots of the moon and you plan to get it as it clears the peak of the mountain. You have located the exact spot where it will rise and you know that the moon will be a lovely extra large size that would make an excellent photo.
But you have not reckoned on the trickery of Mother nature and so come and let me show you.

I still get sad when I look at this, as can you imagine what a great shot of the full moon this shot would be on a clear night?
498.jpg

But I have been blessed with tons of determination and perseverance, so I just stuck to my decision to get a clear shot of the moon.
508.jpg

The clouds of course were not going to give up easily and by this stage we were a long time in the battle.
535.jpg

Here the top of a high tree was in my way and I thought that you would like an arty shot a la @traciyoung, as she is fond of taking these types of arty moon shots.
618.jpg

Selah! I won the battle to get a clear shot and here I present to you with the full moon in all of its glorious beauty.
627.jpg

Granted that Mother nature was the winner in all of the other shots, but the final victory was mine. My ultimate aim was always to get a clear shot of the moon, but she beat me hands down with my plan to get the moon at the top of the mountain.
Now I could have given up right after that first failed shot, but I am not the type that surrenders easily, except when it it comes to the supremacy of our Lord, as he has upended me easily.

The lesson here is not to give up. So many newbies run away after their first few posts that do not deliver instant riches, but they will never be successful in anything else that they try.
I was also a newbie long ago and the message is to persevere in all that we do. Sooner or later your time will come.

And That's All Friends.

Awesome, you know I like a good moon shot. The arty one is very cool.

A good point for newbies too!

Yep, thank you Boomy and we share the love for the moon.
Certainly makes a change from just the moon with cloud shots and a bit of art is good for the soul methinks.

Thank you and yes, I searched for a long time to get a camera that could take a clear big moonshot, but the cameras were very expensive.
Then a friend tipped me on the popularity of the Canon Powershot SX60HS, Bridge camera, with its Super Zoom. It has one fixed lens, so there's no need to carry extra expensive lenses as one can simply extend the zoom with a small lever.
It also suited my free hand shooting style as it is compact.

I have since recommended it to few friends here on Hive and they are very happy with it.

The price suited my pocket and I have never looked back.

Ooops! I forget, here's also a !PIZZA for you.

Awesome, I am going to check it out. My camera is quite old and I have always been a fan of Canon. If it can take shots like that then I am halfway sold!

They have a new one out that replaces the SX60HS and it is a SX70HS. Also has WiFi so one can post directly from the camera.
The thing has many settings, but I have never used the WiFi and such stuff as I only use mine for photos and download via cable to my PC.

You are younger and more tech orientated than me, so I think that you will do very well with it.

And I hope that you guys also had a nice public holiday my friend.
We spent the wole day at home here and tried to relax.

Yep, I knew that sooner ot later I would get a clear shot, so it was just a matter of waiting. In the meantime nothing wrong with fooling around a little bit hahaha.

'Quiet' day at home, still a desk full of work to be done, plus a sister who's company has liquidated leaving staff high and dry.... So yes something to always help with.

Have a good one!

Best place to be, even if there's a lot of work.
Your sister? And what is she going to do now?
Great that you are helping her.

Blessings.

Got to get right mind set to complete tasks that must be done.

Assisting little sister to consider decisions going forward, possibly move here to the coast where my brother, sister-in-law and I live for awhile.

One day at a time, long term plan, possibility of getting to quiet region.

Oh yes, over here we also have long lists every day with only 10% Hive related.
But I have found that either the days go by faster, or I have gotten slower.
I am currently working on 3 new social upliftment projects.

That could be good for her as she will have an excellent mentor.
The target being a quiter region one has to plan very carefully, as there is always so much to consider. We are also thinking about heading deeper into the mountains.

When I signed up I knew it wasn't just for the big money, although I am still hoping for it, but for fun, for presenting my photos and for the community.
In my first months I was happy for every single vote and for any number higher than 0.00 besides the $ sign. So, it's just as you say Zac, patience is the key to success here, patience and engagement, and you know how much Lady patience likes me ;)

Your patience has finally paid off, my friend, and you have got your clear shot of the moon, although your planned composition would have looked great, but there will be another day when the moon will be right there where you want it to be 🌕

Good evening Hannes,

Hope that your Friday was good and you stated the truth here.

I am not a very good fundraiser, but I am the only one that Papillon has and I had to search for an alternative stream of income to secure Papillon's future when my time is over.
So I started dabbling in crypto and eventually stumbled upon Hive's predecessor that I joined. Then it was the HF and now we are in Hive.

Nothing good gets built in a rush and it takes time to become established, which both you and I understand and nothing wrong with also have fun. Else it would be boring methinks.
Oh and of course I know that you are in love with Lady Patience, but she told me that you are not ready yet for her special charms.

Thank you and yes, I know that the time will come as summer is close and the night skies will be clear.
Hopefully I will get a clear shot of a full moon on the mountain.

Cheers and thanks.

Good evening Zac,

... and we will stay in the Hive which will hopefully turn out to be what you and we all are hoping for.

You will certainly get your moon shot, I am sure 👍

My Friday was okay, I am still at work and after my nightshift we'll drive with our daughter to Lower Austria. So I don't know if I'll be online tomorrow, but I think so, because my daughter wants to practice driving ;)

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Good evening Hannes,

...only One knows the future and He loves us 🙏

I am not worried about the mountain moon shot as they will not disappear 🤣

A good thing as it sounds like all of you will be in the car. You and your wife in the back and your daughter in the front driving the car?
No good for you to sit next to her, as you are not known for you patience.
Besides you are a man and when you tell her to turn right, she will turn left like most women do and then all of you will be in big trouble.
I can feel headline news coming 🤣

Solution is to let her drive with her mom, or take half of her slippers savings to pay for a driving school.
Sorry, at times I like to tease 😉

Cheers and thanks.

Good evening Zac,

half correct - I was sitting in the back, my daughter was driving (too fast for me) and my wife was also sitting before me. Now my wife is driving and I am on the seat next to her and I don't tell her how to drive ... since she wanted to stop the car to let me drive 😂

Sorry, no headlines today, in half an hour we are at home and 10 minutes later I will be in bed 😴

!BEER and !PIZZA - nice 😃
