My Nightmare

My bedside clock appeared as a red blur; the numbers were still illegible before pulling off my sheets or maybe I just didn’t really care what time is. I slip on my housecoat and head to the kitchen to turn on the coffee maker. It was still dark and blustery outside. I staggered to my desk and yawned one more time before booting up my computer.

I couldn’t place the time of the Discord meeting or why it took place at LOH Voice channel at all. I scrolled down the list. It was a rare full conference. Thirty-nine of the now forty women strong LOH team meeting that has been underway for some time.
“It must be important.” I thought to myself, “I don’t recall any announcement.” I clicked on the Speaker icon.
My avatar appeared on the Voice channel thread.

A collective cheer erupted, “The Bloody Raven is here!” in a sarcastic but jovial tone.
Late as usual.
Silver Saver’s face appeared on the right top corner of my monitor, she adjusts the camera, backing away and twirls revealing her authentic Hula outfit. Behind her was a panoramic penthouse view of Honolulu and shoreline with Diamond Head looming in the distance. “Everything is almost ready.” Her cheerful voice came through just as the ribbing died down. “So, are you ready for the big Masquerade Tea Party Sis? ...sis are you feeling okay?”
With my brain still foggy I replied, “What Masquerade?”

It’s a Masquerade, only a few Hivers have seen me unmasked.

There was a long pause before Thekittygirl’s video feed from her Lamborghini popped on screen, her voice came over my headphones, “What are you talking about Kerris? You planted the idea years ago and this has been the rage all over Hive since we all voted for our first Ladies of Hive Tea Party at the Hawaii Headquarters this Halloween! Wait, hold that thought, be-right-back!” She bought her car to a stop and powered down her window to a man in a gaudy shirt, "Aloha sir, my name's Kittygirl from Hive, may I take a few pictures of you Pineapple Barn?" Then the video cuts out.

“Wait, what’s going on?”

Another video box popped on screen, Irene, her mom and her son, “Hola! We’re inbound just 30 minutes away with a plane full of ladies from Venezuela, my son is anxious about the party. See you all soon!” She exclaimed with a grin.

Nina’s face pops up next to Irene’s. Wearing a headset with the roar of a jet-helicopter engine in the background. “YEEHAW! Nina-Air at your service! I’m a few minutes of dropping Saff, Joan and Elizabeth off at Headquarters and will be at the airport in another 45 minutes ETA Honolulu airport Pad 3. Kerris, I saw your pirate ship drop anchor in the bay, you not on it?”?

Nyssacat won’t reveal the price, and I don’t want to know.💋

All the ladies were already in their best, eager and all inbound in various forms of travel including a chartered cruise ship flying the Hive logo flag.

One of the ladies pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose and leaned forward on the screen, “Kerris, why are you in curlers and a housecoat?
Chocolatescorpi tapped on her microphone, “Hon, you better get packed and fly over here and be ready inside 24 hours.”
“Oh, my god.” I wake up staring at my ceiling fan.

The Fallout

Up to now, my nightmare always took the form of me entering a college classroom to write an exam that I have never taken in any classes. An uneasy phobia of NOT being prepared for an unexpected or expected event. Replaying over again, I’d sit down at the same desk and stared at the illegible exam sheet. “It’s impossible!”, a wave of resignation and anxiety chills my soul before I woke up.

And now this nightmare took the form of an LOH meeting.

I learned from a psychiatric nurse how to deal with a nightmare is to share it.
What a better way to do this is in a contest!

It's not a Katana but a Chinese Da Dao War Sword, very heavy , made from manganese steel. 40" full length and full tang.
Yes, some some softball in my highschool years.

It's not really unique as there are many similar generic designs by different mints. the best ones are done by private Pouring artists.

These two outfits are frighteningly expensive with the second one is made by a Japanese harajuku specialist. Until the real Tea Party, these will stay on my wish list #2.
Or up until I change my mind.

I think that some of my dreams get so big that they go on without me.
Dreaming that LOH becoming so big everyone become Hive Orcas and whales. By then, we could easily afford our own Tea Party meetups.

The Girly Rozuru outfit by Milo is Japanese Gothic Harajuku style currently priced at $520 USD. Until we have a real Tea Party, this stays on the rack, then again I may change my mind.
Dreaming to be a Hive Orca or Whale so I can afford these outfits.

I would presume that it would be RSVP far ahead of time for such an event.
The two outfits I have here are my favorites of the year but they are rather expensive with the Milo Rozuru dress tags at $520 USD, until we all become Hive rich so I can go to the Harajuku in Tokyo Japan to get fitted.

We wouldn't refuse any LOH member, and likely by RSVP.
I left clothing choices to be wide open. Formal, semi-formal, costume, traditional,even Hawaiian, etc. I chose semi-formal Gothic Harajuku style in keeping with Halloween, more than I can genuinely afford until I become at least a Hive Orca.

Dish for this outing most definitely raw meat, specialty dried, hanging around in Africa called Biltong, no sweet treats shared as a norm here. (You may call it Jerky here is the difference Jerky or Biltong?)

Nightmares really turn out to be fun, well done Kerris, scrounging around for an outfit, false teeth, bloody finger tips to make it all real.... No skirts and hi-heels, more like boots and broomsticks for appeal.

Pretty Cool Creative Story ...

... and I must admit I thought you were talking about real world events for a few minutes I was thinking "Damn these ladies are killing it on HIve and in real life"

I also love the idea of the Masquerade Tea Party, cool placing your clothing on a manequin to show off your outfit, yet maintain your anonymity.

They are more than costumes but leading edge in Gothic Japanese Harajuku styled outfits. The later is priced about $516 USD just for the outfit, Shoes are $130. I'm typically Soft Goth in style.

These outfits are classic Gothic Japanese Harajuku styled and are rather expensive. I hope in the future they would accept crypto as payment.
