Good morning @thisismylife. Nicely written post. I so agree with your stance on FB. I left that platform once I started reading all the negativity the Trump campaign seemed to ignite. I had friends and relatives that kept re-posting total garbage, completely false information that they swallowed, hook, line and sinker. As I tried to convince them to read more or to watch different news outlets to try to open up their minds to other perspectives, I was met with genuine hostility. So for my own sanity I just gave up. I refused to talk politics with anyone, I kept my "judgement" to myself. Less anxiety that way.
Thanks for a good read, enjoyed it.

Glad you enjoyed it @farm-mom, and I totally feel what you're saying. Personally, I have a few friends in there that aren't afraid to post their views (which in 2 cases I usually support) but I always refrain from getting sucked in the comment section by all the others that rather believe what is fed to them.

Everyone should make up their own mind, but I get a bit annoyed when I keep reading people just repeating whatever is told on MSM, without doing their own research. One of my friends on there is actually posting these links to do your own research and handing out links to dive into the rabbit hole but none of them bothers to do so.

I gave up on that years ago, trying to convince others. I try to keep it as politically free as possible although like-minded people will probably understand what my thoughts are, even if not put in those words. :)

You probably did it for the same reason as I can read here, I don't want the stress / anxiety to take over my mood while I can't change how the others respond anyway. So therefore it's better for my mental health to avoid those things :)
Glad you're seeing that too!

Have a lovely day :)

Ditto on all of it. I don't want to ever waste time. At my age every minute counts. And yes my peeps know how I feel, body language can say it all.
Enjoy the day @thisismylife
