The flower's name is Caladium bicolor. In Indonesia this flower is called by the name "keladi merah". This plant belongs to the taro family. It can be seen from the wide and waterproof leaves that are characteristic of the taro plant.

Keladi plant is biggest pray among other ornamental plants. This is because the plants are beautiful and quite rare among ornamental plants. Although taro plants are a bit expensive, flower lovers have no objection to buying them.

This flower originally came from Brazil which then spread throughout the world. The way this plant has evolved is like a root plant giving birth to new shoots from its roots. This plant cannot be consumed, because all parts of this plant contain harmful toxins.
