The level of monitoring we are now seeing on the internet should concern us all!
I ran into a little problem with pop-up ads yesterday. First a little background; over two years ago I bought a full set of Babylon 5 DVD's. I watched them then, and set them on the Shelf.
What they do in the snow on the ground, I decided it would be fun to watch them again. A couple of days ago I started doing so, and I ran into something that really bothers me. I started getting pop-up ads I my internet browsers, featuring Babylon 5!
I go to go to great lengths to avoid being monitored in my home. The first thing I did when I set up my internet connection was to put a router behind the modem, because it is possible to see one step past the modem; which means they can't guess what I have after the router. After the router I put my PC loaded with Linex, which denies them access to my PC. Then on my Android phone, I uninstall everything I can reach the Google makes!
I take special delight in obliterating Google Assistant, since it is the focused core of the Google monitoring across the country! This is actually slightly convenient, because every time Google reinstall stuff on the cell phone; they reinstall Google Assistant. That way when that monstrosity of a program tries to help me, I know it's time to purge the phone again!
So, while I watched this, I was in turn, being watched by my appliances!
And you can rest assured, that any information they get on me; Google sells with Delight!
I made a point do not provide router access to my smart TV. The Roku box that I use, is not tied into the DVD player; said DVD player does not have internet access either. So the only two possible sources for this data breach Google is selling; is my cell phone, or my Roku box. Since the Roku box has no way of monitoring the output of the DVD player, unless the TV is talking to the Roku box directly; I suspect the cell phone.
Since I have no agreement with Google and never use them for anything, I feel this is an invasion of my home and my privacy by Google! I'm now actively looking for a Linex Based phone. The most functional one is not quite there yet, and it already costs $800.00; so I will need to crack open the piggy vank, and save up a little, to boot!
So I will keep on watching Babylon 5:
Time to strip my phone again of Google functions once more, while I look for a Linex phone to use to replace it forever!
Maybe, since I always use Bluetooth; I should put this phone on my electronics bench and remove the damn microphone permanently! I doubt if Google has work around for that, ROFLOL....
But I am shocked and angry, that they were able to penetrate my safety steps, and grab some dara to sell! I hope they choke on it!!!
It is time to fight back against big tech, so for the next couple of weeks; I will enter 'artificial' identities into google. When they are hand typed, google has to assume they are real; and must therefor, keep track of them. I will enter them from my vpn, so they can't dismiss it from a common address; then I'll enter some from my home ip address, to make my real data 'questionable'.
They sell personal data, so if we all enter false information; we can taint their database, and render it useless. This will crash google's income! It is perfectly legal, So do some creative writing....

I bought a new Blu-ray player for my wife, and it asks every time I turn it on for me to hook it up to the Internet. We both know that ain't going to happen, but the Blu-ray player doesn't so it keeps asking!
Social contact is beginning to be a danger in the United States just like it was in the early 1930s in Germany! Oddly enough for the same damn reason. The cancel culture they're pushing now, is a mirror image of what they did in Germany! Up to and including using the mainstream media as a propaganda tool, and branding all Patriots as terrorists. I told everyone this for a long time now, but I ran into an article which I will post soon; from a son of a holocaust Survivor, who is a historian with many awards and many books. He said, that what is going on right now; is exactly what the Nazis did to seize control in the 1930s.

I disagree, there was no other option for china to transition from the feodal archaic system to the rejuvenation era... first collective means of production, there was nothing modern anyway, to the opening up...

I worked with an engineer that came from China. Her father was a banker oh, and he pissed somebody off in the party; and they pulled him out of the bank and put him on a rice Farm. They gave him a quote of he had to be before he can go back into banking. After 2 years of rice farming he bought some rice to match the quota, and I told her that sounded like a smart thing to do. She said NO, if they had caught him they would have shot him! These are not good people. Sadly Joe 'bite me' is working for them....

Buy Ubuntu (Linex) OS. It will self install, and keep your windows intact. It will automatically set up a dual boot, so you can pick which system you want today, when you start your computer.

You can block many IP's to prevent adverts and suspicious activity, as well as set up something like a rotating VPN server for every device in your home.
But what you're talking about is a company bugging your house, perhaps through a backdoor in Android. All for advertising purposes.
I'd say it's pretty crazy, if I hadn't heard so many stories and witnessed very sketchy things myself.
My provider already refuses to support anything I've got because I'm so odd. But I really don't care! I might play with it some more but I really think my security loss is through the Android. I've been wanting you in a space phone anyway oh, so may just be the time to do that.
I have seen a couple of websites using recaptcha that I can't get on now with my unix-based actually Line-X system apparently, Google has decided that they can kill competitive operating systems by just blocking them at the recaptcha level.
I have figured out how to hack past recaptcha though, so maybe I can publish sat on the internet kill their business....

If you can't hide in a digital world then how can you reduce the accuracy of the digital dust you leave behind. The concept was confetti. Basically create millions of pieces of digital dust per day in all of your connected apps. If a network of phones exchanged meta data continually say for your location your actual location would be pretty well cloaked.

On the video, I have always supported the rule of law. The use of Corporations to force fascist policies has been the direction taken by the Liberals for the last 30 years, it just gaining teeth as a monopolist increase! Speaking to the analog vs digital, having embedded microprocessors and designs for the last 25 years I see the advantage of digital. But lately I have been designing a lot of my control equipment either direct analog feedback or with digital chips, and no microprocessor. Without a microprocessor there is no data to be taken. I'm a relatively good electrical engineer, and there's nothing I can't control without a microprocessor. As an interesting side note, it's also possible using this method, to Harden the control systems against an EMP! I am currently testing systems on my bench that will shrug off five times the maximum that they recommend in the UL standards. They allow one hit a 5000 volts, I am testing multiple hits at 25,000 volts. If my tester would go any higher, I would test that voltage also. But I'm not quite done with my 50000 volt unit yet.
Suffice to stay say that when I'm done with my control system at the homestead it will be very difficult to knock out with an EMP! If it's close enough to take out my control system it really won't matter I won't survive the radiation. So I'm kind of a deep prepper.
I looked at controlling the batteries that I'm building where the battery management system is microprocessor-based. I've decided against that gamma and I'm in the process of Designing a battery management system it doesn't use the Raspberry Pi originally bought for it. I have a ways to go there, and I will likely be forced to start with the 'approved' designed to be replaced at a later date.
I like the confetti idea it is basically what I've been doing by hand. So far I've been born in all 50 states anywhere from 10 years ago to the last hundred years; so I have filed their database quite a bit. This is the first time they've gotten past my electronic smoke. Part of that is my fault for not working as hard as I should on my electronic smoke screen.
I think Unix is going to be the only OS standing, when the s*** hits the fan; just because everything else will be locked down buy the 'tech' Lords!
I will be upgrading shortly do much faster machine still Linex based; and I plan on using my existing machine to bring up a Unix command prompt machine as a fallback in case they go after the Linex systems that remain functional.
I have kept my Windows system is current because it's nice to know your enemy, and some engineering apps require Windows to run. In the last decade, I have never put one of these machines online so they don't even know I have any running.
So an analog world free maybe a little more accurate than the digital world by choice and Design, I suspect that anybody that takes this route will be better off when the SHTF occurs!
We must all take steps to mitigate the problems we can recognize; so we can work on the problems that sneak up on us!
