Don't turn your back on me, Mr.!!

You know those times where you have that great photo waiting to be taken, you grab you camera, point and...

Heeyyyyyy!! Turn around!!! 😁😁

Good thing is, we can always enjoy the show. More chances will come! Sometimes birds just don't want to model; they prefer to hide and peak!

I must say, some photos do look great, even when they decide to face the opposite way.

All these photos were taken in a beautiful national park in north of Spain, called Picos de Europa, with huge mountains and amazing landscapes. You can spend days hiking here!

Feathered friends are warranted, some of them you won't even need binoculars to identify. This little black redstart, for example, perched really close to the hiking trail!

I had a great surprise here. Some species are fairly common, but you spend ages before actually seeing them; and it was the first time I saw this one!

Although it can't be seen on the photo, all birds of this genus have a characteristic tail colour pattern, with an inverted black "T" contrasting with the rest of the white tail; it makes it more or less easy to identify the genus, so you have some help in figuring out exactly which species are you seeing!

Remember those beautiful birds of prey that decided to turn their back on me?

Well... we made peace as the day went by!

Funny how sometimes they're so hard to see, and here, one of them perched right next to the houses!

It's always good to keep our eyes open, even in an urban setting... we never know what's going to show up! 😉
