Gin Company Rushes To Fix Sanitizer Mistake

A Distillery in Australia has recently issued an urgent recall after they realized that one of their gin bottles that had been sold on the market actually contained hand sanitizer instead of the usual gin product.

Hopefully for anyone who got one of the wrong bottles they were able to smell the difference before making the mistake and consuming some accidentally.

You can see from the image above what the bottle is supposed to look like. And of course they look similar both being clear liquid so by that alone you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. As many distilleries rushed to try and make some quick hand sanitizer to meet market demands in the past few months there were bound to be a few mistakes.

Not only has this bottle here been recalled now because it isn't gin and poses a huge safety/health concern for those who bought it thinking that it was gin, but other distillery hand sanitizers have also been recalled in recent weeks too.

With so many options flooding the market as demand skyrocketed, that is when it pays to be more cautious over what you are buying and who you are buying it from, because these sorts of mistakes can happen. You think you are going to be getting a martini full of gin but you might just be filling your glass with glycerol and hydrogen peroxide.

Thankfully there are not that many bottles that went out, it's estimated that only 9 might have been sold that were affected with this problem.
