As an artist, I personally have found the internet to hinder rather than help my art sales. I got rid of all my social media accounts minus steemit - including my facebook pages etc - my work sells best by word of mouth.

One of the things I've found with social media (in particular) is that lots of people seem to "love" your work, but that only goes as far as pats on the back, but not the opening of wallets.
Exactly! You give them all they think they need with the digital pic- I have actually sold 2 expensive paintings on Facebook a while back... but not lately- and your right- people are total flakes on social media...I’m done giving it all away for free that way - I will give actual real art away to people who want it - but trying to lure potential buyers with social media is not working anymore
